I can't decide whether to selfishly keep this quaint gem a secret, or to tell everyone about my forever favorite ice cream shop—thankfully, I'm leaning towards the latter!

Sugar Spoon Candies is perhaps the one stop I would say you have to make if going through Castle Rock. And if you live here, well, prepare to become addicted to their homemade cream of the ice. I'm sorry, but overpriced locations like Glacier melt in comparison to SSC (I'd rather not pay the price of dinner for 2 popsicles). When you enter Sugar Spoon, you are whisked to a tiny version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory; you feel like a kid again, marvelling at walls adorned with colorful treats.

The owners are sweeter than their candy. This genuine duo welcomes you, asks about your life, and makes you laugh as they put that last scoop on your cone. I hope the last scoop they serve isn't for a long, long time. So I'll continue to support this local business and urge you to...

Love this cute hidden gem in Castle Rock. If you haven't been, you MUST go. Allen and Gail are amazing. We are so addicted to their homemade $1 per scoop ice cream. They have different kinds throughout the week! Check out facebook for daily flavors! Homemade Wafflecones sometimes dipped in chocolate are amazing. Go on your birthday and get free cotton candy!!
