Total disappointment in this place. Was ripped off of $45 for repair service that I didnāt receive. I was referred by Batteries Plus to take my laptop there to replace my battery. Ordered the battery & new charger thru Tech mode on December 19th. Battery didnāt come in till December 30th. Brought my computer in to get the battery installed on December 30th. Was told, it would be 15 mins. After 1hr, still waiting. Walked back in to check on the status, Technician mentioned something is wrong as the new battery does not work. Technician asked if I could wait a little while longer to see if the battery works, waited an additional 1 hr, no luck.Took laptop home with the old battery & the new charger works on my laptop just fine. December 31st, I called to cancel ordering the new battery and request a refund. I was argued down by Technician/supervisor on the reason why I couldnāt get a FULL refund. Was charged $45 for service I never received. This was HORRIBLE business practice. Think 2x before doing business with Tech Mode repair..Money is not always the main thing.Showing great customer service is the LIFE of all business. Sadly Tech Mode doesnāt get that. Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you need any repairs done on a Macbook or any other laptop, I would highly recommend TechMode Repair. My laptop's screen broke when I was replacing my battery (fixed the battery but broke the screen but that's a story for another day).
I shopped around and TechMode Repair gave me a fair price. They also gave me quotes for cheaper options but my screen is rare so I was going to cough up cash either way. Ebay prices looked pretty much the same as what they quoted. It took a while to get the screen from their suppliers, but once they had it in the shop it was ready in a day or so. And my screen is basically brand new again.
Next time I have any laptop issues, I won't try to fix it myself first. I'll just drop it off at TechMode Repair and get it done right...

The first shop was about $100 more than TechMode and the guy tried to sell me an insurance policy that had a monthly cost for a slight discount on the repair cost.
Them I went to TechMode. The young man was very polite and seemed very honest. Not to mention that the cost was lower.
My laptop was repaired as promised, but a couple of days later, I needed to take it in again (black lines on the screen. Not sure how that happened). Fortunately, it was covered by the 30 day warranty. This time it took longer to repair.
