ALDI — Attraction in Cerritos

IVE NEVER BEEN SO DISRESPECTED IN MY LIFE IN FRONT OF MY WIFE AN MY DAUGHTER I M STANDING IN LINE AS THE CASHIER LADY IS RINGING UP MY ITEMS I HAVE 2 ITEMS MARKED 50% OFF SHE SCANS THEM MY WIFES SAYS THEY WERE ONLY 2.15 I SAID YOU SHOULD GO GET ANOTHER ONE THE CASHIER HAD THE NERVE TO SAY DID YOU PUT THAT STICKER ON THERE TO GET THAT PRICE I STATED I GOT THES OUT THE FRIDGE LIKE THIS THERES MORE I SAID ARE YOU ACCUSING ME OF BEING A THIEF SHE SAID YES BECAUSE I HAVE SOME STICKERS IN MY BASKET LIKE THIS I ASKED HERE WHY WOULD SHE INSULT ME LIKE THAT CAN I SPEAK WITH A MANAGER KEEP IN MIND IM RECORDING HER SMILE AN LAUGH AS IF IT WAS A JOKE SHE TELLING THE MANAGER AS SHE WALKS UP OVER THE RADIO HES RECORDING ME HEA RECORDING ME THE MANAGER WALKS UP AN INSTEAD OF HEARING WHAT I HAVE TO SAY SHE WORRIED ABOUT ME RECORDING IM EXPLAINING THAT THIS LADY ACCUSED ME OF STEALING AN MAKING A FAKE LABEL I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO SPEAK THE MANAGE WOULD NOT LET ME EXPLAIN INSTEAD SHE TOOK IT AMOUNG HE SELF TO GRAB MY PHONE AN MY HAD AS TRY TO TWIST MY WRIST MY WIFE SEEN THE MANAGER GRAB ME AN BECAME IRATE WHY WERE WE BEING TREATD LIKE CRIMINALS FOR BEING ACCUSED OF STEALING PEOPLE YELLING CALL THE POLICE CALL THE POLICE BECAUSE SHE MADE A COMMENT THAT WAS DEFINITELY BECAUSE I WAS A BLACK MAN CHECK THE CAMERAS AROUND 6:15- 6:45 YOU WILL SEE ME MY WIFE AN MY DAUGHTER WALKING AROUND GETTING OUR ITEMS AN PICKING UP THE ITEMS WITH THE PRICES ON THEM IM DEMANDING AN APOLOGY I WILL UPLOAD THE VIDEO AS WELL .. I SHOPPED THIS STORE ON A REGULAR NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WE ALWAY GO THERE FOR THE MARKED DOWN ITEMS...

This place is great . I like this place because they have them in Europe and back east in Chicago. There's so much better than most California chain grocery stores. Their prices are like Smart & Final but their selection is better than Smart & Final. This selection is similar to Smart & Final crossed with Ralphs. Aldi's saves you money in a bunch of unique ways. They don't stock name brands but often times you can find a few big-name items here or there. They have house brands and not a wide selection. Like when you go to Ralph's for tea they have 19 different brands of chamomile. It's not like that at aldi they only stock one brand of chamomile tea.

Aldis also has a quarter deposit on their carts saving money by not having staff to fetch carts every hour and the carts get returned back to the front of the store. Unlike other stores where the carts are always never to be found in very busy times and tying the carts down prevents them from roaming the neighborhood then later coming back to the store sweaty and smelly.

Aldi doesn't often have a large staff. This also saves money the staff only moves big pallets of items, stocks the freezer/refrigerator sections ,and runs the cash registers. The staff is well-paid, has great benefits, and a proper 40 hours week . This seems to be why the staff is friendly and to be in good spirits.

Leticia is the rudest cashier ever and possibly discriminating against younger people/men. I was waiting in line while an elderly lady in front of me was paying with only change. Leticia was patient and kind towards her and I didn't mind the wait. Once it was my turn, she began to scan my items and I noticed two of the packs of cookies I had rang up a higher price. I simply asked Leticia if she could check the price of them again and she paused giving a loud sigh. Her mood completely did a 180. She then said, "next time tell me what the price is before, just for future reference." She made me feel stupid with her sudden condescending tone. I decided to not take the cookies anymore which visibly angered her more. She ended with a snarky “thank you” and I just gave her a frustrated “uh huh” and left. I just don’t understand how she had all the patience with that elderly lady but none with me. I had less items too and was paying with a card. All I felt was disrespected and couldn't help but think that she was discriminating against me. I've been shopping at Aldi for many years now and I've never had a bad experience until now. I doubt I will ever be coming back to this location again. Everyone be wary of Leticia. (This incident happened on 6/20/25...
