Not the GOAT. Hear me out. I've been to a lot of these college bookstores. My kids attended half a dozen colleges. I try to support the school spirit by buying some clothing with the school name and mascot on it. My youngest, special needs kid looks really cute in that stuff and we try to keep her stocked up. We have tons of t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, Tervis tumblers and more at the house. So, I'm ambling around the store looking for some cute clothing for my kid. There are a few things with the ram on it. There are some things that say "tar heels" on it. So, I'm trying to explain to my special needs kid that a tar heel is a working person and that the grumpy looking goat is a ram and I don't really know why the grumpy goat is used as a mascot for the working people. Well, in the end, she decided that I looked like a the grumpy goat and should get a T-shirt. She got a jacket that looks cute. And, of course a Tervis tumbler with the UNC emblem. Other than that, it's a pretty standard college student store.

The UNC Student Store is large and has 3 floors, a cafe, a pharmacy, print store, computer store, and medical bookstore all on one site. Lots of fan gear and easy communication with the specialty stores on site. Very busy on weekends so would go during the weekdays if possible. Centrally located on campus near the Bell Tower. Very robust online store as well.

I had went to pick up some souvenirs from our visit the cashier was friendly on the 1st floor. The student that came downtown help was not helpful and not willing assist with looking for different size. I actually located it myself after looking on every floor. I was able to get exclusive nike item for the university.

I drove from Fayetteville to Chapel Hill to visit the UNC Student Store. I was interested to see if they had any UNC - Football hoodies. Surprisingly, there were no such hoodies in the store. They did have a variety of other sports specific hoodies and t-shirts. Understandably, it is football season and the demand for this item is high, which should have hinted an increase in supply in hand. It is a nice store and has most UNC sportswear that you look for. It is possible that I went on a bad day when everything sold out. I recommend that you call before you go to confirm they have what you need. Especially, if...

Great store in terms of products and variety. The people who work in the retail portion seem to have been born last night, as my grandma would say. I was there with a giftcard and the person at the desk didn’t know how charge the giftcard. He called someone else over and he also didn’t. I suggested it just be scanned. That worked, but he then didn’t know how to charge me what was left. So I was told to come back later and the item I was buying was handed back to me to put away myself. Even worse, not only did I not get the item, but since he charged my giftcard, I lost all of that money that was on that...
