First let me start by saying that what you read on this firm's site is true and to the point. I can testify that this team took care of my issue and set out to do what they said they would do. Application is quick and easy, and communication was constant EVERY day. I cannot recommend a better team to represent you when the state has nothing better to do but give you a hard time.
Last year in July I was involved in a car wreck due to exhaustion after working a 13 hour shift and blacked out behind the wheel. Long story short no one was hurt and I was the only one involved having ended up in a ditch. I checked out fine, but jump a month later the state sends me a letter that my license was to be canceled unless a physical test was completed within 30 days. This document had a LONG list of specialists that the state wanted me to see, and anyone who knows this country's trash health care system there is no way this was getting done in 30 days. These are experts who book months out just to see. Needless to say I did not get it completed and lost my license. For the next 8 long months I struggled in and out trying to find doctors that would help me complete this paperwork so I could get my license back. Finally found a cardiologist who agreed to become my primary doctor and got me through the rest, and I was in the clear to make it after getting diagnosed with sleep apnea, and only had to complete a compliance portion of the exam to be cleared on the paperwork. All was well that was until I made the decision to get food one night, out of desperation of hunger, while driving revoked Stupid decision yes, but things were rough, and still rough. I had to get around, even to work constantly asking for rides to and from. The state can call it a privilege yes, but these days it is a necessity to be able to thrive, and all I wanted was some food. I did not ask for this, and should not have had to be placed through this many months of hell to live. It was raining and cold that day, and of course I got tagged by Richlands PD, a lovely bunch who have nothing better to do but harass folks.
I found this firm that same night, applied, and a month and a half later case dismissed, and also got my license reinstated and back on the road making a living with a better hold on my health. I am impressed how this was handled and the professional work done by Attorney Bain and his team. If you are having doubts, don't. Reach out and contact Hatley Law. I know I was paranoid at first with the amount of emails I sent on making sure if I would even need to be present for the court date, and in the end never even had to show up. A huge weight of my shoulders and my life is restored to what it was. Freedom to come and go is a luxury you don't know how much you appreciate until it is stolen from you because the powers that be need to get a little extra out of you to keep going. Above all though I give god the glory for restoring me. Many times I prayed even in my impatience and doubt, and he pulled through again. Thank you Jesus and thank you Bain...

Read moreI do not recommend for anything other than run-of-the-mill speeding tickets. My 17-year-old had an excessive speeding situation (30 miles over) and I do not feel like we were represented very well. In fact, I could have appeared in court and had the same outcome. I recommend retaining a lawyer that you can have conversations with, and will have your back. If youâd like to know more, you can read on, but I cannot recommend this place.
As suggested by my lawyer at iticket my son completed 37 hours of community service as well as an eight hour defensive driving course. In the end, I feel she did not work hard enough to reduce my sonâs charge. She stated that Orange County was notorious for having zero tolerance policies for high speed. I questioned why she took my case if this were true. She did refund the money I gave them to retain them so that is positive but I would definitely look elsewhere for more complicated situation situations such as mine was.
The email correspondence is very robotic and cold.
I also want to mention that they never gave the option of a limited provisional license when his license was suspended. In fact, they were told that it would be impossible because you have to have your suspension for six months before you even apply for one At this point, we did not know how long his suspension would be. However, I was told today by the DMV representative that many lawyers advocate for one even with DUIs and they could be given as early as the first day of the suspension. I donât know why my son was treated so poorly. Luckily, the DMV only suspended his license for a month even though my lawyer said it couldâve been up to one year and she was surprised by this positive outcome. It was almost like she went in expecting things...
