Stopped by to check out the lighthouse while we were in the area. Nice short walk from the downtown area. The beach area near the lighthouse is nice for swimming if you wanted a sandy area to swim. The area is nice for taking photos and taking a little while to relax at. Nice large American flag at the top of the hill with the water in the background makes it picture perfect! Worth checking out while you are in the area!

Great beach. Many people out sifting the sand for Petoskey and Charlevoix Stones. Lighthouse is gorgeous against the blue sky. They have nice clean bathrooms and a concession stand however that wasn't open when I was there. Super close parking that lines the beach. And nice grassy shaded park area with benches. Also, when you leave you can drive right around the block to see the Mushroom homes.

For me I really liked this lighthouse and area. The area has a small but clean beach with picnic areas, covered seating, public restrooms and some of the clearest waters in the area. This is also the channel for the ferry to beaver island and we got to see the ferry go out. The lighthouse itself is a short walk to get to and you can walk 360 around the pier!

This is a beautiful place to watch the boats entering and exiting the channel. The lighthouse is a steel structure on top of a concrete platform, which doesn't sound that great, except it is... kids love climbing all around it. Actually, I'm not sure if kids are supposed to climb all around it, but they do, and they have great fun. It's a 3 minute walk from...
