I was a member at this gym for 1 year 3 months. The only reason I left is because I moved across town. This was a fantastic place to workout, a great franchise to use when you travel as much as I do and I would recommend this particular gym to anyone. I am in a gym once, sometimes twice a day and being able to go 24/7 is extremely helpful. The staff were good, they didn't bother me and I didn't bother them. I never used a personal trainer there because I have a fitness background so I can't comment on the quality of their sessions first hand, but they seemed to be what the people who used this service were looking for.
I go to the gym to stay healthy, improve my physical condition and to feel good about myself and the atmosphere was perfect for doing just that. What made this gym were the people. I don't go to the gym to socialize, in-fact I find it very annoying when I go to work out and I am taken away from what I am doing, I am there to work and I strive to be the hardest working person in the gym. But, I found almost everyone was there to work like I was and through my time there I made a few friends and it made my experience that much better.
A great place, an unbiased opinion from someone who, before this gym, would have rather been out running on the road and doing push-ups or P90X in the garage. If I lived close to the area I would still be a member! That...
Read moreThis is a very small gym. One of the smallest if not the very smallest/ crowded (space wise) , than any other ANYTIME fitness gym I've been to, in various states. Very few cardio and Very limited workout equipment. Tv's on cardio machines don't work past 1 channel. Even the staff couldn't get the tv to work and it was annoying as heck, having the staff mess around with the tv cable box attached to the under carriage of the cardio equipment. I just told her her leave it alone as I didn't want my workout interrupted. Not to mention, the particular cardio machine I used, Precore 100i, was soooo off balanced and tilted to the right. That it made my workout a bit annoying. Because the machine was so unbalanced that it rocked. The owners ought to test out their machines to make sure they're all calibrated properly. Using cheap paper towels that rip once wet. Is not the healthiest way of members cleaning machines. The owners NEED to make the wise investment in antibacterial wet wipes. They're WAY MORE effective!!!!
Overall, 2 thumbs down on this gym. The female staff wasn't friendly. The gym is wayyyyy to small/tight space and the cardio equipment needs updating.
Hope the owners take note. Don't need their empty words in a response (on here). Rather just do it for your paying members. ...
Read moreBeen a member since 2013. Friendly staff and owner. Enjoyed the personal training for about a year. I stopped the training for reasons beyond my control. Staff did not treat me differently and were quick to stop the payments.
Most of the other members I've seen are courteous. I see people at different levels of health and fitness here. There are a few folks I talk with from time to time, but for the most part I'm able to get in and out without being bothered.
Staff do a great job with keeping equipment well maintenced and clean. There is a good selection of equipment to get some variety. Doesn't get very crowded except around 6pm and Sat afternoon.
Since it's not a large facility, if you are just starting out (like I did), it might "feel" crowded with just a handful of folks, but it's not. This diminished once I got used to coming here regularly and stopped being as insecure about how I looked.
I like that it's 24hrs, my student/teaching schedule was often chaotic, so sometimes I'd do a 2am workout. Since my membership goes with me, I can visit the AF gym near my folks when I visit them.
Monthly $$ can be around 6-8 Venti Mocha Frappuccinos depending on which contract you take or if any discounts apply. (I am being vague since I think G00G|E filters or flags reviews with...
