If I could give this location 0 stars I absolutely would. I've been going to Tropical Smoothie locations since I was a kid (20+ years) and this is the worst location I've visited. I've given this place over a dozen chances the last several months and every visit has been horrendous. The customer service-- well there is none. Today the young lady working didn't smile nor was welcoming when she handed me my online order. It was like I was interrupting her day. She also argued with me (in front of other customers) about my smoothie. I ordered an Island Green smoothie that is always green at every other location I have been to in the Mecklenburg area. For context, I usually order this smoothie 2-3 times a week with supplements added. It is always green-- regardless of pea protein or vitamin C or any other supplements being added in. I tried to explain this to them today, but was met with attitude and argument. When I tried to speak, she spoke over me. When I tried explaining that their location is the only location I've experienced this issue-- they refused to listen and instead decided to "educate me" on what happens when pea protein is added to smoothies. Again, I've order this same smoothie with the same supplements at several other locations (at least 4) with no issues. An alternative response would have been to suggest making the smoothie again but without supplements or to swap out my order for something else. Clearly, this individual I encountered does not understand how to provide proper service and needs to pipe down that ego that is obviously tied to whatever personal issues she has going on outside of work... and learn to be better... or just quit now. Read moreWhen I and my wife entered we spoke loudly and said good morning. There was no response from any of the 3 employees there. No one greeted us when we sat down at the counter to deliberate about our food choices. A younger lady finally took our order, without any expression of friendliness or appreciation in anticipation of getting our business. The order was completed relatively quickly. The man who made it placed our completed drinks on the counter with nothing said. No "Thank you, we appreciate business, yall come back NOTHING!!! Interestingly enough, before we left, a delivery came through the back door and the same man smiled broadly and spoke to the delivery man cheerfully with a loud "Good morning". Now I and my wife are African American, the delivery man was Caucasian. More importantly we were paying customers and deserve to be appropriately greeted and treated well. We could've chosen to go elsewhere but we came there. We were very disappointed by this experience. I will probably not revisit this location again. Read moreI am so upset. How come you added water to a smoothie? I get the same meal once a week but not at this location. Order it in the app. Pick it up and everything so I know what this is supposed to look like and taste like because I get it once a week. However, my pomegranate smoothie tastes like horrible. Someone added water to the smoothie is not even thick at all. I ordered in the parking lot because this was the closest one to the walking track that I chose to walk today. I got my wrap and it was filled with lettuce. I've never gotten this rap and it not be heavy. I get the Caribbean wrap every time. And they cost more at this location for some reason. My preferred location is in the South Park area but this was ridiculous. Now I've been overcharged for less food and the smoothie is gross because it's water. Will not be coming back to this location. You guys need to tell these people that you have a standard to uphold because this must be a franchised location. They don't even use the cubby holes.
