I literally just had the worse experience ever at this IHOP. It's very soledom that my husband and I are both off on a Friday. So i decided I wanted to get one of my favs from IHOP today. The Pesto Chichen Crepes with extra roasted tomatoes And pesto on the side, some crispy hashbrowns with onions and 2 cheesecake pancakes and 2 Carmel Leche pancakes. First off when we got lead to our table the seat was so dirty that I couldn't sit down. I had to get someone to clean it first. Second our server was horrible. He didn't introduce his self , that's why I can't say his name he just walked up 1 minute after we sat down "Can i get yall something to drink?" Hold on young man we just say down ,have not even opened the menu. I ordered my food as mentioned at the top but 30 minutes later when it hit the table it was not what I ordered at all. He gave me a egg white chicken omlette with tomatoes and pesto on it hashbrowns no onions and my husband food was right then he walked away. I had to call for a manager to come to my table because our server never came back to check on us after he drop off the wrong food. He never came to give us refills , he never came to apologize after he found out he Made a mistake. My husband was eating his food while I continued to sit there about 20*25 minutes with nothing. Then came my hashbrowns. 10 minutes later my chicken crepes still no extra tomatoes or my extra pesto on the side nor my sour cream. Another 15 minutes for my pancakes 2 at first waited more time for my other 2 still no refill. Still the server has not come to our table. The manage was really nice he discounted the pancakes but at this point I felt like my whole meal should have been free. I did not get to eat with my husband, my food did not come out together, it was still not what I ordered, our server never came back, we had to flag him down to run our card, then he drop the card and receipt on the table with no pen. I had to get another server to barrow her pen to sign. The manager gave us to go containers but we had no bag to carry them in. We ask the manager for to go drinks he told the server, we waited then decided to leave . I forgot my receipt on the table so I went back to get it, that's when the server had our carry out drinks. But they was wrong too, this server know we had no ice in our drinks and guess what??? They had ice. This whole experience was a mess and no I didn't leave a tip . From the time the server came to our table I knew things were not going to be hood. The server had an whole attitude and personality that he just did not...
Read moreNice location, 98 sanatation rating which is good and Nice people but nobody here seemed to have a sense of urgency. Customer service is the pits!!! We waited 5 mins just to put our name on the list to wait. We were told 25-30 mins wait. We waited at least 45-50 mins and the whole time we can see 4 tables that needed to be cleaned off and prepared for the next party just sitting there. I felt bad cause only saw one poor older women cleaning them by her self and she could only do so much no one helping. I tried to get the managers attention but he was dealing with another issue at a table from another dissatisfied customer. No reason to wait. Once we were seated the family that waited a long time in front of us was already seated and was now waiting for a server to take their food orders. After we sat down and got ready to look at the menu- after we saw that Family waiting we got up and just went to Jack in the Box for fast food breakfast. We received awesome service there too. As we left one of the servers gently apologized to us as if to say she understands why we are leaving and we are right. This was our third time visiting this location and last time. We gave it a chance but corporate urgently needs to look at the customer service and how they need to increase their sense of urgency. They are doing poorly and this place will not do well like this. I asked the guy minding the register and he said it is always like this on Sunday as if it’s okay. Sorry that is not an excuse. I’ve visited other establishments and they do not let tables stay dirty for 12-15 mins in between parties. One party leaves, the table is wiped down set up again and the next party moves in. There was a crowd of people waiting on tables and no need for that. Three strikes and your out! I will not be back here my kids and wife are holding me to it too since I convinced them to try here again. Step...
Read moreUpdate: Both the new owner and the new general manager contacted me concerning the one star review I previously posted below. They convinced me to come back in for one more visit.
I have to say the difference was night and day. They've restaffed, reorganized, and hired a true professional to manage the location. The experience we had was simply perfect. I've never seen such a turn around.
The new general manager is simply the best I've ever seen. The location was packed, yet he handled the rush like he'd been doing it for decades. And Evie our server was extraordinary. She was fast, friendly, and efficient. This location is definitely in good hands now.
My wife and I went in about 30 minutes after opening. We stood at the front with another customer for about 8 minutes, and finally walked into the kitchen to get someone's attention. The manager came out and sat us, and then disappeared.
Approximately 15 more minutes passed before she came back out. We flagged her down to asked if she could take our order. She said she is the only one in the restaurant and it would take a while to get our food.
We decided to go ahead and order. We asked for the $6 breakfast special and she told us we couldn't order it because it isn't valid until 7 am - four minutes from then. The price of the $6 breakfast would be around $16 each.
I've lived in this neighborhood for almost nine years, and I've tried this place eight times. It's never been any better than the above. I'm an idiot for going back there so many times. I really do feel foolish for going back every year or so thinking they might have improved.
I honestly wish they would simply close the place an open a restaurant that can actually take orders and make edible food. They don't seem to teach...
