Ballantyne Village — Attraction in Charlotte

Had a difficult time finding a parking spot in front of the retailer Inwas about to visit. Saw an empty space that was marked for "Mellow Mushroom" but since it was TCBY that I was going to I moved on. The 1st available spot was the one in the photo. As you can see the signage simply states it's use is for visitors to Ballantyne Village retailers for a period of 15 min. My teenagers and I stepped out and were crossing the street towards TOBY when I was beckoned by a man inside the Tinder Box store. He told me that the parking spot "was REALLY meant for people wanting to stop in for a quick smoke. So if you don't mind...." as in hint hint move your car I simply replied that we were dropping in for a quick yogurt and would be gone soon. I guess this is not a true complaint, it just really got under my skin today. I follow directions, I didn't needlessly inconvenience anyone, or park somewhere I shouldn't have. I don't care what shop it's if front of....if it's just a vague "Ballantyne Village" sign then it's for anyone who is visiting Ballantyne Village to use. At any rate: LOVE this area and the atmosphere. Lots of stores and restaurants to choose from...always something fun...

And I tried to park on floor number 5 and the security lady on June 3 at 8:50 in the afternoon told me that I cannot park there because it is for the hotel, I proceed to park on floor number 2 because, I'm going to eat at the Cuban restaurant that has recently opened and it tells me that I can't park there either, that I have to leave.
