Racial profiling or just black person avoidance?

The application process was smooth and seemed very normal until I was approved. I was approved on a Tuesday and I called on Thursday to follow up. On that call, I was told I was approved and I have another 2 days to decide if I want to move in. No Welcome email, no sorry for forgetting to call me, no inviting or welcoming bone in their property managing bodies!!

I asked what the normal process when applicants are approved do you normally call them or does that applicant have to call in each day to check. Of course I was right.. In my righteous voice lol

After it was clear I was being treated differently and said so to them by email of course, they felt it would only be appropriate to refund me my Non refundable application fee hmmm thinking Why are they so willing to "Make it right" so fast. Needless to say, I did not move there and I will not be recommending this community to A SOUL ALIVE! BEWARE

Blakeney Town Center sits on the corner of Ardrey Kell Road and Rea Road. There are plenty of ways to get into the shopping area, with each area having plenty of parking space. There is a Circle K with a car washing station if you need gas or wash your car. You will notice Target is in that area with other shops. You also have a McDonald's across the street from the gas station. There is a Chili's, Brix pizza, and 131 Main Restaurant. Plus, there are plenty of other restaurants if you don't want food from those restaurants. If you're in the mood for coffee, you have a Starbucks, and if it's too crowded, there is a Starbucks in the Target also. For groceries, you have Harris Teeter, which has a good parking lot size, so it's easy to drive in and out. The area is very pedestrian friendly with sidewalks and cross walks. If you're driving through the shopping area, pay attention. There are stop signs...

Building a house is daunting. Needing privacy on the windows when you move in is necessary and the task can be overwhelming - so many options. We had good success with The Shade Store in our GA home so we opted to go that route again. Lexington, SC doesn't have a store so we went to the closest one, Blakeney Shopping Center, Charlotte, NC. Brady welcomed us and walked us through all the options on that first meeting and spent hours with us on our second visit to finalize our choices. He updated quote after quote until we got everything just right. His expertise and confidence was reassuring. He even scheduled someone to come and measure our house!
