Charlotte Barber & Beard — Attraction in Charlotte

Booked an appointment online one hour prior. When I arrived, Tim was not there but two other were… one giving a cut and another not. They confirmed I had an appointment and carried on. When the one finished his cut ~15m later i offered to use one of them instead, but they called to check on Tim. I guess their system had not been sending out notifications, technical difficulties are understandable. I was quoted 20 minutes and was willing to wait that. I wandered over to coffee shop and got a drink. About an hour later I received a text from Tim saying he was 14 more minutes out. After he arrived Tim was quick about getting me in the chair and cutting, and did well with minimal direction. He did take an awkward extra chunk out of my left eyebrow but I was happy enough with the hair. I was excited about this place based on reviews, but unfortunately my expectations were not met for a 36$ haircut. If I went back again I would try out Marcus…. But I’ll probably be trying other shops before...

I went in with a picture of the haircut I wanted. Marcus ended up giving me a haircut. It was a fairly basic haircut. I left with something resembling that haircut that's too small for my head. I have a rather large head so now rather than my haircut hiding the fact I have a large head it emphasizes it. I keep looking at the picture of the haircut I wanted and think "wow that's a cool haircut." then I look in the mirror and think "what the F* is this?"

To top things off they don't take cards there. Or advertise this fact. Luckily you can go up the road and pay a fee to use the atm. How well thought out. Apparently it's too much effort to get a free card reader from paypal....

I'm giving 2 stars because the haircut itself was professionally done and if it was the haircut you wanted it'd be a good haircut. Still if I went to a restaurant and ordered a hamburger and they brought out a chicken dish I'd be upset regardless of how good the...

I had an 11:30 appointment today with Lola. I arrived at 11:30. One of the gentlemen there asked who I was here to see and I told him Lola for 11:30. He told me that she was finishing up with a customer and to sit at the waiting area. I waited until noon without her acknowledging that I was there, zero communication, she was still working on this other guy and chit chatting with some girl, and did not appear to be close to being finished. I approached her to tell her that I could not wait any longer and I need my money refunded and I need to go. She said that she would refund it, but didn’t offer any sort of apology. I felt like I didn’t matter as a customer. One other girl did inquire about how I was doing, and I appreciated that, but Lola didn’t give me any hint that she really cared. I wonder if I will actually receive a refund.
