Do not bring a Citizen Eco Drive watch for repair or cleaning here. Send it to a Citizen Repair Center. Do not authorize this shop to open up a Citizen watch. Earlier this year, I brought mine in and was extremely disappointed with the result. They do not know what they’re doing with them and need to educate themselves not only how to add links to a watch without falling apart but what solar power means for an Eco Drive watch.
Edit: I read the owner’s note below which is completely and utterly false. I brought my Citizen watch in to have a link added to the band. I was upsold to have it cleaned which I thought just meant polish and not an opened up watch. When the owner opened the watch to clean it, which they knew they shouldn’t have done for a Citizen Eco Drive because they’re not an authorized repair center, they broke likely the seal and had to order a new one. They gained my trust that opening up the watch was normal for cleaning and that they were familiar with Eco Drive. Meanwhile, they stored the watch in a DRAWER which was the worst possible thing you can do to an Eco Drive (keep it in darkness). I know this because when I went to pick it up the owner went to the back office and took it out of a drawer. After two weeks, I went to pick up my watch and it was completely dead due to not being exposed to any light. The owner had forgotten to add the link to the band and did so in a hurry resulting in the attached photo which was a really poorly done by any jewelry repair standard. When he handed me the watch, and it was frozen in time, he said “I don’t know how to set it, maybe with an app or something.” and also “it’s an old watch maybe you have to replace the battery” which was the last straw and indicator that this person really did not know anything about Citizen or Citizen Eco Drive watches. The watch was 5 years old and doesn’t even contain a real battery. My watch is a solar powered perpetual calendar radio controlled chronograph. The power reserves were completely drained in the owner’s drawer and this lost the ability to keep time. I have had to send it into the actual Citizen repair center to have this corrected.
The story the owner has replied with is completely false and is honestly an indicator of poor character, my visit had nothing to do with water damage or me not wanting to pay for services. The owner has either confused me for another customer or is being dishonest. I came in to have a link added to the band because this watch had sentimental value when I received it as a gift from my father when I was 21 and I’m 27 now and my wrist had grown. I left $65 poorer and with a broken watch. If you have one of these special kinds of watches, PLEASE do not go here under any...

They installed a new movement, which brought my watch back to life and it's now keeping time as accurately as when I first bought it. I was amazed at their ability to not only repair the damage but to enhance the watch's overall functionality. The level of craftsmanship was remarkable.

Read moreIf ur local to the area and want the experience of a jewelry store like we had growing up, take urself to Pavels.
Their knowledge of stones, watches + custom or vintage pieces is honest + pricing is fair. Or just need a watch battery for watches sitting in the draw cause they stopped working go to Natalie or husband to put a battery in. They give a 5 yr warranty on the battery that may need replacing in 2 yrs, just bring it in + it’s free!
I moved to Charlotte 3 yrs ago and had numerous watches needing work, and wanted to sell some old jewelry for the gold. I was so pleased with the price + the customer service.
Take my word for it, + I have nothing to gain by telling you that doing business with Pavel’s is like stepping back in time when the customer was important. Very few if any stores these days care about customer service.
This is a family business + a local business. If needing anything go and support our local shops. As I look around the amount of small businesses I can name on one hand. We need to support our own or everything will b an online purchase w/ service reps by phone. I hate that + feel really good when I walk out of their store. I feel like family, what’s a better experience than that?
So, look through all those jewelry boxes + fix this broken pieces u can’t wear anymore cause it needs a repair or send ur husband in to buy you a present. Guys aren’t trained anymore + it’s the women’s fault to buy us jewelry. What’s wrong with u gals? It’s time to turn the hands back + teach these guys we want little gift boxes w/big shiny gifts inside.
Anyway, I adore Natalie + her hubby. Do urself a favor + stop by just to browse. They even do layaway, isn’t that great? When I want a little something for myself I know I can always pay in it over time w/out interest like credit cards.
They r located on Tryon next to HT , across the street from Sprouts + next to the BBQ restaurant.
Thanks again for the great service + u people who live in this neighborhood support them, they r one of...
