Thùy's hair design — Attraction in Charlotte

I would never come back here. This was honestly one of the worst salon experiences I’ve ever had. The stylist was rude from the start. She barely washed my hair—literally one second—and water was splashing everywhere. She was rough and aggressive with my head, which made me really uncomfortable. I came in for a curly perm and showed her a reference photo, but the result looked nothing like it. I told her I didn’t want to cut my hair, yet she kept pushing for it anyway. In the end, the perm turned out terrible. The top of my hair is curly and the bottom is still straight—it looks ridiculous. What’s worse is she let me leave the salon like that without saying anything. I called back to explain the issue and ask if it could be fixed, and she was incredibly rude, constantly blaming me and saying it was because I’m “young” or that my hair was damaged. But I’ve had a perm before, and my hair was in worse condition back then—and it still turned out fine. At this point, I don’t even want her to touch my hair again. I just want a refund. I even tipped her a little more than 20% thinking everything was fine, before realizing how bad the outcome really was. I regret being so polite to someone who treated me so poorly. Please save yourself the stress and don’t come here. It’s not worth it. Now i have to damaged my hair even more and go get a straight hair perm somewhere else bc my hair looks absolutely ridiculous. Thanks alot Thuy!! If you couldn’t do the service, should’ve just said so instead of wasting my time and money! Now I’m left looking embarrassed hearing ppl comment on my hair. I took mom to get a perm and cut. It was mom's first time there. The most amazing part was she knew what kind of style mom wanted wo showing a picture. She knows what type of haircut that is suitable for your face Thuy did a killer cut for mom and the perm turned out to be great. She did a fantastic job on the cut and perm. She didn't give mom an old haircut. She gave her a cool hair cut. It is hard to find a stylist who does cool haircut. Thuy is a very talented stylist who knows how to do many things. I am glad she is at the new location because the parking. She is at the New Asia Market shopping center. She is very thorough with her work. Pls make sure you make an appt with her.

I also had my haircut and color done by Thuy and it was the best layers haircuts. Thuy, know how to cut the best layers cuts for long and short hairs. She also did my color and she was very thorough with the coloring with my hair. She didn't color just the roots of my color but the whole hair.

I WOULD GIVE A 0 if I COULD I had one of the worst experiences ever at Thùy's Hair Design. The staff was extremely rude from the moment we walked in — not just to me, but shockingly disrespectful to my mom as well. Their attitude was unprofessional, cold, and honestly made us feel like we were an inconvenience just for showing up.

As for the service? Absolutely awful. What I asked for and what I ended up with were two completely different things. My hair came out looking nothing like the reference I showed — uneven, poorly done, and honestly embarrassing to walk out with.

Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They clearly don’t care about customer satisfaction, respect, or even basic professionalism. Avoid...
