Took my 6 and 7 year old here for 2 week bootcamp. I would not recommend this place. First of all 30 min class is more like 20 min class. First 5 mins coaches just stand around and talk and last 5 min Is play time. Also there seems to be no time for lunch or bathroom breaks for employees because they schedule back to back every 30 mins. Therefore the coaches often eat while training the child or use the bathroom while the child is waiting. The owner was eating large burrito in the water while training my child (thats just one example)Also the pool is super small, seems more like an oversize jacuzzi and most of the time there's at least 2 coaches and 2 kids at the same and on our last class there was 3 coaches and 3 kids in the same tiny pool it was crazy. There's no space for the kids to actually practice because they bump into each other and get distracted by other coaches talking to the kids they are training at the same time. Also my kids had classes in the afternoon and the owner Rob seemed to be just about done. He was constantly raising his voice and being rough with my child. At the end of 2 weeks I feel like my kids still need a lot of work to be able to safely swim on their own and they came already being comfortable with water and were able to do simple things on their own. Another thing I notice is the turn around in employees. In 2 weeks they went throughout 3 different ppl that seemed to not want to work the last new guy was training my child to swim at our final day of bootcamp and he isn't someone that should be doing that job as I heard him say that he only knows enough to just keep himself afloat. I came here because I thought they were getting trained by professionals otherwise I would have taken them somewhere else. It not worth $1,500 for 2 kids for 2 weeks. I suggest to stop by and observe before you sign up. The place is not in the best shape inside either and only 1 bathroom for every one to share I had to help my kids change in the main area because the bathroom was usually taken. When I say main area I mean 10 by 5 area with 6 plastic dirty chairs and parent share that space while waiting for their kids. This place needs some SERIOUS...
Read moreWe had 3 lessons with Rob and my son who is almost 2 screamed the entire time at every lesson. At the end of the 2nd Lesson, Rob told us to sit so my son would stop looking for us and maybe stop screaming. He also told us that kids start to calm down around the 2-3 lesson so we were hopeful. At the 3rd lesson, my son still screamed the entire lesson and then threw up in the pool. At the time this happened, Rob jokingly said "I didn't think he swallowed that much water". He then said "We had a reversal" as he laughed...we were shocked at what happened. At the same time another kid threw up in the next pool-we took our son and left. Rob said this has only happened a handful of times but it happened twice in a 20-minute time span. We asked for the $200 we paid for September back as we didn't feel comfortable returning after the incident(they had just drafted the payment a few days before). Rob refused and said that we signed a contract with a 30-day cancellation policy. I'm sorry but I wasn't aware that when we started that my child would throw up and be sick all day from lessons that we paid a total of $400 for. Methods here are aggressive and obviously not for my son. Please do your research before picking a place for your child to...
Read moreRob and his coaches are nothing short of MIRACLE WORKERS! My oldest son is 7 years old and was terrified of the water. Wouldn’t put his head in the water. When we started back in June, both my wife and I were beginning to think that this might be a losing battle. The process was definitely not all “rainbows and unicorns”... There were several lessons where Rob used some of his “tough love” techniques when coaching our son. This is normal when playing any sport and the mental hurdle in this case seemed as large as Mount Everest. However, one day everything just clicked like magic for my son. He wore goggles and actually opened his eyes underwater and he said, “It looks cool underwater!” The rest is history. My wife and I both say to each other that we can’t believe our son is where he is now considering where he started. He is now working on the butterfly and underwater flips after successfully learning the other 3 strokes. If you want your child to learn to swim, this is your best option. The quality of coaching is...
