Southern States - Chesapeake Association Inc. — Attraction in Chesapeake

We don't leave a bad review, ever. But here we go. Bought two bags of expensive Victor brand dog food here. Our two dogs would not get near one of the bags but gobbled the food from the second bag down. I brought the bad bag back to exchange it for another one and was hassled about it by the manager because it was open. I replied that you don't know it's bad unless you open it but he didn't really understand that concept. He reluctantly let us exchange it for a new one but warned me that they will not accept an open bag next time. So, we took the exchanged bag and bought an additional bag and left. Got home and had the same scenario again. The first bag we opened smelled ruined when we opened it. We looked into it and Victor actually prints the return policy right on the bag. It says if you are not 100% satisfied for any reason, return the unused portion of the product to the merchant you bought it from for a 100% refund. We also learned that there is a date on each bag. The ruined bag had expired 4 months ago. These bags have a shelf life for nearly a year from the date they are shipped. Why do they have bags that are so old at this store? Anyway, we called in advance and advised them about the Victor return policy and they were going to contact the supplier and get back to me but never did. This store is farm equipment store and located at 1754 Military high way Chesapeake Virginia 23320 . They sell lawn and garden supplies and got very nice stuff like grass seeds,fertilizer,vegetable seeds, moles and rats killer, insects killer, garden tools, garden plants. Also sell lots of products like Horse feed supplies,fencing equipment, nursery/garden center,live stock feed and supplies,pet supplies,farm supplies,wild birds supplies,fencing supplies, bulk mulch delivery,bulk feed delivery and also propane cylinders fill . Today I went to buy spinach and kale seeds and also find nice garden and outdoor hat’s. They got separate section of outdoor boots for men and women I picked one pair of shoes. When I can’t find certain vegetables seeds in other stores I buy from here. Normally I buy grass seeds from here. The store is very clean and well stocked and organized. They got nice big parking lot which is nice and clean. The customer service is excellent. Feel comfortable...

I don't give five stars often, but Southern Stare deserves a five star ✨️ review. The moment I walked in I was very pleasantly welcomed and ask if I needed assistance. I asked for what I was shopping for and the young lady didn't just direct me but she showed me. We talked about the product, she gave yer thoughts and it just got better from there. I bought two versions of what I was shopping for and that was my decision with no sales pressure. It was my first visit and oh boy was I pleasantly surprised because they have every thing you need for your farm or your garden and of course your pets and farm animals.
