I had a frustrating experience from the moment I walked in. The dispensary staff tried to claim that my driver’s license wasn’t valid—even though I had just received my new “Real ID” the week before. I had flown in that day. They initially refused to let me in, and after 15 minutes of back and forth with a manager who clearly didn’t understand that out-of-state IDs are still valid, they finally let me through.

I was excited to try some new products, but that excitement quickly faded. The quality of the flower was mediocre at best. My budtender seemed more focused on racking up my total than actually helping me. Every time I asked about a strain, he added it to my cart without clearly showing me what I was purchasing. It felt sneaky and made it hard to keep track of what I was buying.

Most of the pre-rolls I got were poorly rolled and burned terribly, wasting a good portion of the product. The edibles were outrageously overpriced. Some of the infused sodas—ones I can get at home for a fraction of the cost—were not only nearly four times the price, but also had a quarter of the potency.
