The wine was great. The charcuterie was good. The experience was lacking. We felt unwelcome from the minute we stepped inside. As new customers, we didn't know we needed to walk behind a wall to get to the front desk. Instead of being welcomed or greeted, the hostess came from behind the wall and pointed at a sign that said to come to the front desk. If you've never been there before, the ordering sequence is a little confusing. Instead of explaining it to us, we were glared at and treated like we were stupid for not understanding. We felt like we were really putting the woman out by not understanding her system. After being handed our drinks, while still standing at the front desk (weird), we walked back around the wall and chose a table. Later, someone brought out our food. We never saw anyone ever again. The ambiance of the establishment is inviting and cozy, creating a warm and quaint environment. The owners were exceptionally friendly, engaging in delightful conversations with us and other guests between serving customers.
As a connoisseur of dry red wines, I was particularly impressed with their house-made Cabernet, which was exquisite. Additionally, I had a glass of their Pinot Grigio, which was equally delightful. I am looking forward to returning for a date night with my wife. I highly recommend visiting Blue Stem for anyone seeking a memorable...
Read moreI popped to have a glass on wine on a warm day and was met with an afternoon of relaxation! The staff are so friendly and personable. Want to sit and have quiet time? They’ll leave you to it! Want to engage in friendly conversation about the wines and other offerings? They’re ready for that too! While the wine was absolutely delicious, I HAVE to mention the non alcoholic options. They have a full offering of Seedlip botanicals so that everyone, sober or not, feels welcome to enjoy their space! I will be back again and again to spend time with loved ones and relax on my own. P.S. the Malbec...
