Weekend Pick-Me-Up

I came to pick up my online order. I was told to do a line inside. I did the line, once I got to speak to a customer service representative I was told that I was in the wrong line and that I needed to be outside. Once outside I requested to speak to a manager because I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment and they did not allow me to pick up my watch earlier than my arranged appointment. I explained my reasons of needing to be accommodated. I was running out of time, needing to drive to Lagrange IL. I was offered to come for the watch (online order) on another day. I live very far from this particular store. I asked for an accommodation, staff informed Manager Courtney of my situation, Courtney saw me from far and send staff to inform me that she was busy. Manager Courtney came 5+ minutes after, I explained my situation, she informed me that I had to wait at least 7 minutes before my pick up. There was barely 3 people in line. I was standing in the corner until my time, suddenly a caucasian women showed up at 12:18 and said “I am here for my 12:30 appointment”. She was allowed to go in. The 2 staff did not tell her that she needed to wait. I looked at them and they realized I was standing there waiting for no reason. I am posting a picture of the line. I am suggesting for cameras to be looked at. I could not come up with this! I finally got in, during my pick up time I asked staff for a different size in watch. Staff member informed me that it was a big process to give me a different size. To take the watch and that I had 14 days to return. Absolutely nothing went right on my visit to this store. The worse Apple experience I ever had. Never will I come back to this store. Apple I suggest you do mystery shoppers on the daily. Garbage store!

Today, I visited the Apple store with a positive attitude. However, my experience took a negative turn after encountering a staff member named (Eli). Despite my efforts to engage with him by correcting the pronunciation of my name and smiling, our interaction fell silent. He seemed disinterested and rarely spoke to me, causing my mood to shift. I initially thought he might be prejudiced, but then I saw a diverse group of people smiling at each other. So I checked my breath and my body, and it dawned on me that he was just not a people person, or he had a long day as he cracked his neck and body consistently. After a brief exchange, I politely asked to speak to someone other than Eli. I noticed Eli directed me to another male manager, making me uncomfortable. It seemed like they were sharing a joke, and I couldn't help but feel that I was being treated differently because of my gender. Eventually, they redirected me to a female manager, and things improved. I was then assisted by a female agent named (Mari). I believe there might be an opportunity for further training for a few of the male managers and male agents on providing inclusive and respectful customer service at the Apple Store. Everyone should feel welcome regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or disability.

I had the most worst and terrible experience there recently. When I first came in and explained my situation, I was told to go and wait by the Genius Bar after an appointment was made and I waited about 20-25 minutes. Then a man named David approached me and said hmm let’s take a look. After looking he says we could fix your screen for $30 or swap your phone for $100. I’m like okay I have the Apple care coverage package but I did not cause any damage to the phone. Immediately I get call called a liar in many ways and am told I broke the broke. The impact on the screen looks like I dropped the phone or broke it. I told them I went to sleep and the phone was completely fine. I woke up and the front screen of the phone was shattered from the inside. How do I make this up? So David keeps trying to get me to spend more money. I explained to him the problems I was having. He was giving me such a hard time. Then I asked to speak to a manager and he was giving me an even more time. The managers name is Jake. Keep in mind I have PTSD and he started raising his voice at me and yelling at me. In the store in front of other customers. Roughly $2000 have already been spent and the manager tells me that I’m lying. The manager Jakes states that is not a defect. It’s physical damage to the screen and I explained to him that I find it unbelievable that the phone would do something like this but it did. He kept continuing to deny it and getting louder and louder every time trying intimidate me. He wanted me to pay the $100 to replace and was surely trying too force me into doing so. He kept referring to the pricing strategy and Apple care plus I had purchased incase if accidental damage or loss. I purchased it Incase something was my fault. I also felt like I was being racially profiled and treated differently because of my name and skin tone. I was not a great experience. To make this even worse, once sitting there after requesting the manager to make a one time acceptance because they can do that on swapping the phone they deny me and him and David walk away without helping me reach a resolution. Not only that the lead genius there named Manny that day gets involved when another tech was just speaking to me trying to help. Manny said jake already spoke to him. He doesn’t need any help. I was asking to have my battery and charging port diagnosed at the time. Keep in mind I am also a shareholder of Apple stock. Whether it’s one share or a hundred shares. The type of customer service was unacceptable and I was almost made to feel like I could just leave and get out of the store. The words were not sent but the vibes were surely felt. To David the rep, to Jake the manager and to Manny the Lead Genius I hope you guys understand how bad and horrible of an experience you gave me as an Apple customer. It was terrifying and scary. I would never expect something like and I hope no one else has to ever go through it. I was yelled at and demoralized at the Apple store by the manager in front of other customers. And when I told him to stop yelling at me and raising his voice, his response was you did it first. Btw the phone impact was internal and not external if you looked at it close enough. If it was dropped and shatter all the screens glasses would have been in pieces and off the screen, not still in tact and working functionally. I told them that the phone was like this when I woke up. I believe the heat caused an internal expansion within the device causing the the glass to...

Before going to this store I read some negative reviews and was prepared for a bad experience but I had to get a new phone and an IPad so I decided to go there anyway since it was close to my home. I made an appointment before for the evening hour on Saturday and ordered those items beforehand only for pickup. As soon as I entered the store a nice pleasant associate by the name Ash approached me with his nice smile and offered his help. I said that I have ordered some items for pickup only and asked him if it would be possible for him to actually help me to transfer data from both my old phone and an IPad and help me to connect to my phone carrier. Without hesitation he immediately assured me that he would provide me with any help needed. He took me to the payment center first where another pleasant person quickly checked my ID to verify the payment which took less than a minute and Ash brought me to the table to be seated and wait for the items I’ve ordered. They arrived in about just 3 minutes and Ash started to transfer the data and all other things necessary to complete the service. Everything went very quickly, he answered my every question and gave me a little presentation about my new purchases. All the time he was extremely helpful and pleasant. Then his manager Kevin approached the table and also was very nice and made sure everything was going well and smoothly. Then Ash brought all the other necessary things that I would need but haven’t ordered. He by himself installed the cover and the protective screen for the phone and went again through checking that everything is done properly and I have no other questions. I was absolutely blown away by the nice and helpful atmosphere in that store thanks to Ash and Kevin. And while Ash was doing setting up my purchases I’ve been observing other associates and they all looked to me very knowledgeable and nice and I could tell that the customers that they were helping were very pleased. I couldn’t be more grateful to Ash and his manager for making me a very happy customer that day. Not just I’m happy with my purchases but also I feel very satisfied as a customer that received a great personal service and complete satisfaction. Fantastic job! I would definitely recommend this store and would always return for the future shopping. This place is buzzing with the nice, energetic and helpful staff. I like to read Google reviews and get some opinions from other people but it looks like my own experience could give me an ultimate opinion about the business and the service. And it was absolutely amazing and top notch! Thank you...

I first went to the Apple store on 6/13 because I had dropped my phone and the screen was broken. I go there, wait an hour and was eventually told that my phone needed a new screen. I wait another hour and a half for the screen to be replaced. When I get my phone, everything seems fine, so I head home. When I get home, my phone began heating up uncontrollably and shutting down. I could not even call the Apple store or schedule an appointment before it began shutting down so I go all the way back to the Apple store. I get to the Apple Store, wait another hour, and they tell me that they must have broken something while replacing the screen. They give me a new phone and it takes another couple of hours to set up the phone and contact the carrier. Again, everything seems fine, so I go home with my phone. Barely a week goes by and the screen starts going black randomly and taking hours and hours to turn on again. It finally went black and wouldn’t come back on again, so I went back to the Apple store again, and spent the entire day there again. I wait the standard hour for the appointment so they can tell me they’ll replace the screen. Then I wait another hour for them to tell me that the last phone they gave me was faulty and they had to replace it. The man in charge of handing out the fixed products, named Matt (light brown hair with a beard), was incredibly rude and unhelpful. He literally handed me the new phone, told me to set it up and walked away. I felt very uncomfortable with this seeing all the trouble I have had in the past with He rolled his eyes at me, when I first asked for help he straight up ignored me, then began rolling his eyes when he realized I would not go away. I asked him if he could set me up with an Apple employee who was willing to help me with the setup and he brushed me off saying “That’s not how it works.” He was inconsiderate, unprofessional, unresponsive and rude. It seemed like a bad joke because all the other Apple employees have been so helpful as faulty as their phones are. After Matt refused to assist me, I left the store but with all the issues I have been happening I fully expect to be spending the day at the Apple store in the future. I just hope Matt is not the one tasked with helping me, as he is the worst Apple store employee that I have encountered in the 12 combined hours I have spent dealing with the store in the...
