Front Bar — Restaurant in Chicago

The drinks were delicious and strong. The bartenders were delightful. I went there on a Sunday evening when there was a show playing, but I didn't attend the show, I was just out for drinks at the bar. Besides during intermission, the bar was basically empty, which makes sense, given that most people probably only go there when they're watching a show. The bar seemed well-staffed, with about 20-30 theatre patrons and about three bartenders. The ratio meant everyone was served quickly. Our original bartender, Walker, made our drinks fast and was fun yet professional. I took away one star from my rating (4/5 instead of 5/5) because they don't serve water at the bar. So if you want to drink water and are already in a conversation, you have to leave the conversation, walk across the room back toward the entrance, to where they sell concessions like chips/other snacks, wait for water, then walk all the way back to the bar. I didn't even bother getting the water. The bartender (not Walker, but another girl who was helping out during intermission) was so nonchalant about it too, she just pointed to where the concessions were when I asked for some water, and said "you have to get water yourself over there," which made me feel like I was taking up her time.

This is the most casual laid back cozy place I have visited in Lincoln Park! Great local industrial style cafè in a busy amd pricey neighborhood ! Order whatever you like from the menu and do your job or meet with a friend or a client there. Not too loud music so you can actually have a conversation with an individual. Maybe I have written a review before about this place I don't remember. My office used to be right across the street from Front bar and I do believe they open early around 7am so I would always buy coffee from there. They also serve snacks and sandwiches. I like it they have a lavender latte. Omg it's so amazing and soothing. They also have a a cute small little kitchen that makes salads and flat breads. A must try! I cant wait to come back on summer I'm always cold and it's a little chilly in here for me so maybe in summer the sun will feel amazing lol but this is definitely a good place to bring a first date.
