So I recently purchased a bed frame and night stands at this location from their sales associate Kevin (awesome dude btw). everything about the transaction was going super super well, until we got to the credit card application (had to run to take advantage of promotion)… Crate and Barrel is the first place where I had to insert an existing credit card in order for them verify my information... Ok ! (this might be a my bad but...) I decided to insert a joint card that I had with my wife to do the verification, where her name I guess ended up being the primary name on that specific card. Bam ! denied, need more information. Fine, my bad for being too lazy and not going back to my car to get my credit card... So after the first denied application, I went back to the car and grabbed my wallet and decide to re-run the application again, in which was denied because they think it fraud, Fine. Kevin and I decided to wait a week till I receive the letter that states why my application is denied.... A week goes by and no answer. I find time to go back to the store and talk to Kevin.... he sets me up on the phone with their "CREDIT CARD" department after roughly an hour on the phone with them; they tell me, "Unfortunately the department you need to reach is closed today (Sunday) please call back tomorrow so they can help you out." Fine with the patience I have gathered over the years.... I said Thanks Kevin I will definitely call them tomorrow to see what happens and I will keep you posted. So I leave the store and call the next day (Monday) , long story short nothing was fix, the credit card customer rep just gave me the run around and told me, I had to wait for the piece of mail to arrive before we can do anything... I was ok.... (keep in mind this is going in the second week since II ordered my furniture from the store...) I e-mail Kevin telling him what the customer service rep said, and according to Kevin, he will get his General Manager involved in this transaction, so they can get me my promotion... at this point weeks gone past.... nothing …. the frustration in me is building, got no answers from Kevin or his GM... (and yes I know this is beyond Kevin's job title)... I didn't hear from someone until one week from when my order is suppose to get delivered.... I am going to spare you from the rest of the story, but nothing got solved... I got a few points knocked off my credit... didn't get a chance to get my issue resolved so I can get approved for the credit card, so I could take advantage of the promotion... because it past the date to edit the application by law.... Moral of the story is... I did my part as a customer and didn't get compensated for my time, my patience, and my efforts of trying to resolve the issue... Instead all I got was we are sorry, we will take full responsibility.... I never ever thought my experience at the Crate and Barrel would be so mishandled... Again... this is not to BASH the store... Kevin is still a really cool guy... but I just hope... they can improve their line of communication so nothing like this happens again... If my issue was past up to the right person, two to three weeks ago I may have written a more...
Read moreWorst customer service I have experienced in a long time. Its a shame that they have nice product but back it up with bad customer service. We purchased a table and chairs back in February with the expectation that we would not be receiving it until June. That was fine because we understand that its reasonable for the circumstances. And we were getting exactly what we wanted. A couple months go by and we get a call that the chairs are in and would need to be picked up. No problem because we were picking everything thing up and understand why they don't want product laying around with chances of getting damaged. We got them and they were wrapped up very well and we love them! They also told us that the pedestal will come in before the table apparently they get shipped from different places or will be done at different times no biggie to us because we wanted to save the charges and pick up since we are able. Few weeks ago we got the call that the pedestal was in and kind of rudely the message on our V/M was you need to pick this item up right away! We couldn't get for a few days and they seemed upset by this but we were busy and couldn't get there so a few days go by and we get an email that the top was also coming in! We were so excited! I mean it was June like they said. So we decided to wait a few more days to pick it all up at the same time. We told them we would be there one nite after work the day after the top was to arrive. THE DAY AFTER! The pedestal at that point had been there a week. So we rent the truck get there and the top we load first is wrapped in plastic with some edge protection. Then the warehouse tech brings out a big box he claims is the pedestal we ask are you sure this is ours? We were told the size of the box would be smaller. He assured us that was it because our name was hand written on the top. So we load it with some uncertainty that something was not right but we trusted the tech. We get it home and open the box to find out its not a pedestal but some sort of bench. So no way its ours. Got on the phone with customer service and they offered to pick up the piece that was not ours. However we revealed some extra pieces wrapped up with the top that goes to the pedestal? How could that have happened they were supposed to be separated. So someone had to take apart our pedestal box and wrapped up those extra pieces (which were everything but the actual pedestal) with the top in one day! So then they are ordering the whole pedestal again. Just received a call that its in and can't deliver this week! Worst customer service I have received in a long time. I am not posting this to rant just buyer beware is all. In my business you take better care of your customers then your own family because its the right thing. I'm not disappointed in the time frame or if there was some sort of accident. Just the people! Be honest and just do your best. Crate and barrel you...
Read more"What do you want?" That's how salesperson Jamie greeted me after I had to chase down a someone for help. Walking into Crate and Barrel is always pleasant. There's someone to greet you and first floor salespeople are friendly. But go upstairs to the furniture section and everything changes. I went to buy the Wells sofa. I saw it online the night before and the measurements worked; I just needed to sit on it to make sure it was comfy. And I also wanted to see the special order color, Benoit Shell. I sat on it, perfect. I took pictures. I rearranged the pillows all the while expecting someone would make their way over to assist me. Never happened. I sat there for 15 minutes. Crickets. Yet, I could hear multiple sales people walk over to other customers, say hello, ask if they needed assistance. I was avoided. They didn't walk to my section. Finally I got up, tried to make eye contact with one of the three sales people talking amongst themselves across the escalators (on the opposite side of the store). They never looked at me. So, I walked over. To my chagrin, they all dispersed and two of them went directly to the Wells sofa and put the throw back on the sofa and the accent pillows that I removed. It's as if someone tilted the wheel and where I went everyone scattered. So I walked back to the sofa then to their desk and I asked for help. Jamie, exasperated, didn't want to be bothered. But I was there to buy, so I stomached his rudeness even though I called him out on it. He tried to correct himself but he didn't want to be bothered. To make a long story short, the sofa takes 21 weeks to get. Who has that much time to finish a room?! They didn't have a swatch of the color. You're just supposed to purchase a custom sofa from a picture and pray the color works 5 to 6 months after giving them...
