Awe Melody Records! One of the last of the Mohicans, rather, last of the Chicoans, occupying that Infamous corner where swanky meets street urchin while hobos and hippies converge with polite deference to one another as students rally or drink or protest somthing nonimally important. An iconic, authentic, quentissential, downtown business that managed to persever through decades of change...and still maintain its original ambiance (and floor plan) without any obvious upgrades and techno hoo haas. They fill a music niche, -hell they CREATED the niche- and continue to thrive while being friendly, responsive, and inexpensive. I don't mean cheap either. Quality supplies, custom orders, and knowledgeable help....The owner actually "work " works there and he is a reasonable and honest fellow. Also, let's not forget the extra amazing bonus of beads, christals, incense, gifts treasures ,sage, etc at my go to fav Ital Imports conveniently tucked into the package! My my! Thank you Melody for filling the void I didn't know I had till I visited your shop many Frank and ...

She walks away not interested in doing her job, I put my cup down so I can search for what I just asked her to help me find and she says, “we don’t allow cups either” ok, again with the rules that are clearly not posted anywhere… so I finally get the record my daughter wants and I go to pay, the same wretched employee turns to talk about metal shoes at a local club and says the card machine is over there ( points to the end of the counter ). As soon as the card reader was approved, she leaves the record on the counter and walks away. If you want to be treated like your an inconvenience in someone’s life and play “what did I do wrong now” then this is the...

There is a rough edge on one of the discs, and the first track skips, it is clearly a factory defect.
I called the store on 23rd February and the girl working there told me to call back when the owner was there, which I did today, and spoke to the owner and asked about a returns policy, and he told me that I had waited too long, so nothing could be done.
I want to support local businesses, but they need to support their customers too. I have spent a load of cash at Melody in recent months, and now I don't really want to go...
