This Northern California destination needs to be on your bucket list! 📋✅✨ (AD) Butte County is the perfect adventure getaway. So here’s how to spend a great weekend exploring. 💛 Make sure to SAVE this itinerary and FOLLOW @Wandering_Jessica_ for more travel ideas! Day 1: ✅ Start off renting a kayak from the Paradise Recreation & Park District, and paddle Paradise Lake. The water is super clear and there are dogwood flowers lining the shore 😍 Or you can hike around the lake if you prefer to stay on land. ✅ After a long day on the lake, stop at Peregrine point for a short walk to check out incredible sunset views looking over the Big Chico Creek Canyon Day 2: 😋 I highly recommend stopping at Stoble Coffee because their avocado toast is delicious! ✅ Then head off to check out Butte Meadows, a high elevation pine environment surrounded by lakes, meadows filled with wildlife 🥰 and beautiful rivers. 🏕️ And the Cherry Hill campground has great flat campsites right along the river if you’re wanting to get out of town for a few days. ✅ Or you wrap up your day with an easy hike to Monkey Face to check out wildflowers and a great sunset view! Have you added Butte County to your destination itinerary? If you’re a local what would you recommend? 👇🫶 #visitcalifornia #california #travelcalifornia #californiaroadtrip #roadtrip #roadtripusa #usaroadtrip #ExploreButteCa #Norcal #northerncalifornia @visitcalifornia #buttecounty | Adventure travel | California weekend itinerary | Best California hikes | Things to do in California

Seriously one of the coolest places in Chico and brings a youthful and modern vibe the city has been lacking for a while. I love the layout. The avocado toast and honey lavender latte were wonderful. Only rating 4 stars because the service was a little lackluster. The pager we were given went off fairly quickly after we had gotten to the top floor and sat down, only to walk back down and find out our order was not in fact ready. I believe we got another customers pager by accident because their food was ready but when asked for a pager they claimed they were not given one. We waited, that was fine, things happen. But the people working the counter were very unattentive. Almost accusatory with the other customers who did not have a pager, and did not acknowledge us standing there probably appearing very confused for a few minutes. Eventually they walked over and grabbed the pager and said it would be just a few minutes. A few minutes later and my toast was sitting at the order window taunting me but the person "distributing" the orders was very distracted and if my toast was a snake it might have bit her. Anyways, eventually we got our hands on the food and it was well worth the wait. And at least I got my steps in climbing the stairs multiple times. Elevators freak me out. Good to see that they have them though, very accessible. Will definitely give it another shot!

This is an amazing place to study. I hadn't been here until recently, due to them closing at 4 every day, but I'm going to come here a lot more now. There is not one, but three indoor levels, plus a rooftop seating area. There's so many choices. They have a lot of windows, and the environment is so friendly. All I wish is that they had bigger tables, so two people can spread out and study. From what I saw and experienced, the tables were small, so my friend and I had a hard time sharing a table. I enjoyed my mocha, but the food was super expensive. I wanted to try the avocado toast, but it was $8, which is way overpriced. I hate to admit it, but with how well they have set up their cafe atmosphere, they attract a lot of people who want to be there, so they can charge that, and people will buy it.

There I was, a Level 7 Google Reviewer. My belly roaring from a nine hour drive through Newsom’s lonesome vineyards of central California. Eager to replenish my fuel, I stumble into Stoble with three of my greatest companions. Greeted by a refreshing atmosphere… unfortunately, my expectations rose… After ordering from a menu, of which only half was available until 11am, I began my ascent to the roof. Comparable to a journey to Everest’s peak, their custom set of StairMaster was a devious plan to further expunge my energy resources. A few heart palpitations and a leg cramp later, I found a table. My pals joined me shortly later with small cups of water and buzzers to notify me of my order’s status. A reasonable amount of time later, our breakfast sandwiches were ready for the taking. I bolt downstairs, only to find half of my order to be ready. I politely notify the closest employee behind the counter that we were missing two lattes. She sharply snapped back with “We are busy and we will call you when your order is ready”. Confused as to why I received a buzzer if a name would be called for the 2nd half of my order, I take what was given and hike back up stairs. My friends question the location of their lattes… I explain. One of them makes their way back downstairs to further obtain the missing items from our order. He retrieves the two lattes only to be hit with a screeching tone, “You need to pick it up when we call you”. Again, in confusion, he took what was given to him and joined us upstairs, still bewildered as to how we can hear such a call whilst being seated on Mt. Everest. We consume our delicious meal, which was unfortunately shadowed by the second-class service we encountered.

Chico in Spanish means small. Which is a nice tribute to the size of each Stoble employees reproductive apparatus.

Has anyone that knows me knows I definitely love coffee and all sorts flavors kinds styles cups mugs cold blended hot with or without grounds camping style the only coffee I don't like is the coffee that's not in my cup, that being said this place was top-notch very clean very organized and orderly very friendly but I'll have to tell you there's a business in there that is so amazing I've got to give them props here in this description it's a business called "Angie's stays"... They are headed by a couple that are very warm and easy to talk to. After chatting them up I found out that they own and operate 'airbnbs'... No I was never familiar with what they were, but got so curious I actually spend some time in one of their properties... I got to say these guys are top notch! They seemed to actually be concerned with their "guest's" level of comfort and relaxation. (I never once heard them refer to people as customers) and wow property I stayed in was impressive! With a style that I think a lot of 'high-end' hotels (and even spas) would be envious of... Bells and whistles... this thing had it all! They didn't miss a beat! I don't think I'll ever stay at a hotel again. I had no problem getting a hold of them, there was no pressure on late check out or early check in, and there wasn't a tiny shampoo bottle to be found! It was all spa level treatment, nothing cookie cutter about it! Geez at any rate I'm sure I'll be staying at it Airbnb if there's again... And that's what I really remember about that sweet coffee shop because their office was in there! So...
