HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I recently visited Central Hair & Nails and was very disappointed with the service I received. Upon walking in, I requested a mani-pedi, only to be rudely told to "go sit down" by the guy at the desk. After waiting for over an hour with my earbuds in, he yelled “YO” at me to get my attention and directed me to the pedicure station. The lady who did my toes was kind, but she kept trying to upsell me to a more expensive pedicure package. Despite opting for a regular pedicure, the nail polish application was bumpy and uneven. When it came time for my manicure, they insisted I get the A&C treatment, which cost more and made the French tips I wanted difficult to achieve. The technician cut me twice and repeatedly complained about the small size of my nails, making me feel uncomfortable. She accidentally over-filed one nail and had to redo it, which only made it look worse. The end result was extremely disappointing: my nails were uneven, and my fingers were left covered in nail residue, dried out, and even bleeding in places. To top it off, I was charged $100 for this subpar experience. I left feeling dissatisfied and frustrated. I won't be returning to Central Hair & Nails and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for quality nail service.

I went in for a manicure and nail color change. The service provider was nice, but the facility was not clean. I had to make sure the utensils were sanitized before use, which isn’t something a customer should have to worry about. This was the first time I’ve ever had my nails done without a towel or paper under my hands. While I wasn’t placing my hands directly on something dirty, it still felt unprofessional. The biggest issue was the quality of the manicure itself. My nails were left looking messy—you can still see my previous nail color on the sides, and the polish was not applied neatly or completely. I could have asked them to fix it, but part of the reason I went was to see the standard of work without needing corrections. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations.

I’ve been coming to this nail salon for a few years now, and it’s truly a hidden gem. It’s a small, Mom and Pop. It’s not the fanciest place, but what they offer in reliability, efficiency, and kindness more than makes up for it. They’re always there when I need them, especially for last-minute or walk-in appointments, which is a huge plus for a busy mom like me. My favorite nail tech is Jessica. Her work is always precise, and she consistently checks to make sure I’m happy with the results. I especially love how she does my eyebrows! If you’re looking for a no-fuss, dependable spot that respects your time and still delivers quality results, I highly recommend this salon.

I came in for a gel mani. This was the second time I had gel on my nails. I got them done in Queens lasted two weeks with a fair amount of typing at work. Had my nails done here only because the other place I wanted had no parking due to a Snow storm (I needed a parking lot). She peeled the old gel off roughly. Filed my nails long enough to get the dust on my hands and she started applying the gel. I said don't I need to wash my hands? She gave me the old shrug shoulder. I washed my hands, no hand massage, and no cuticle cutting. So I asked are you going to cut my cuticle. She said if I wanted. Big mistake I had to tell her to stop cutting before I bled. I guess she knew that wasn't her best skill (isn't that your job?). Long story short (too late) My nails were done by noon on Friday (no typing on the weekend) Sunday my thumb is cracking. It sucks but it sucks worse that I can't give them 0 stars. Because that's what they deserve. I wouldn't get my dogs nails...

My nails are fine but I won't be going back. I was sat down and had my nails soaking off in a bowl for over 30 mins. To the point I started scraping my own acrylic/gel off. While seated the techs got cursed out /yelled at by three or four customers for either not listening to their wishes, overcharging ($70 for color change of nails They did two days prior), rushing a customer, not attending to a customer. The wildest experience I've had in a salon. Forgot to mention I had to instruct someone to change my soaking water because it got cold and gunky. My whole time there I was giggling at the absurdity. Cleanliness rating is also a one star. I was already sat down when I started making note of things. They didn't instruct me to wash my hands when I first walked in (I did it anyway). It seems the only covid protocol they follow are masks and those...
