It was alright, but should be better. The location is great as is the vibe. We were there on a Saturday evening and there was live music playing across the alley. We sat outside. Now the meh. The service was hit or miss. Our server took a while to take our initial order, then disappeared for the remainder of our meal. There was no 'how's everything' or would you like another drink'. Our food was served by what looked like a bartender or kitchen staff sitting at the next table with his girlfriend and a couple of others who brought him pizza? The burger was ok, but not worth $19. The Cuban sandwich was a bit better. Both felt like they were thrown on a plate by someone who didn't care. I appreciate the lack of hard sell, but no sell? You're a bar, you're supposed to sell drinks. Let me help. When you seat a table, immediately take a drink order. Don't even ask if they want food. Only do that when you return with the drinks. Then when you take the food order, ask if they would like another drink. 10min or so after the food is served, come back and ask if everything is okay and would you like another drink? ...
Read moreLinden Social has become one of my favorite spots in town. Drinks: all good, Atmosphere: 10/10, Outdoor seating: usually available as long as its not crazy busy, they also spruce it up a bit. Relaxing on Linden when the street is closed down as the sun sets is a great way to end the day.
thats just the bar. I find the food to always hit the right spot and the menu cycle to be unique but short enough to avoid decision fatigue. The last 3 visits we've walked in 6-8pm and gotten a table right away.
Same goes for brunch. Great spot to relax and enjoy a good meal that doesn't pretend to be fine dining like some other spots, but is still above diner/quick bite quality. Not to mention the prices are not bad at all.
They occasionally have a good vegetarian option too, and have worked with us before if there wasn't a vegetarian...
Read moreOne of our favorite spots in Geneva and rivals many beyond. The cocktails are next level and update regularly. The food is really good and chef is doing good things. A small, select food menu that’s not meant to rival a large restaurant but the output is again always good.
The staff are what puts this place to 6 stars of 5. They are next level. Katie and Henry, the chef, and the owner just bring an energy and vibe you do not find organically any more. Share with them your preferences and they will make you a drink to knock your socks off. Not only friendly, they are knowledgeable. The cocktail menu is refreshed regularly but aside from that they can make you most of what you have seen elsewhere or what is in your mind.
