The first vibes of this place is an odd punch of people, places way too close to one another. customer's don't even smile or have good attitude`s, they have cage type thing where they cook at , who knows whats going into the food, too much dust around weird rusted tin for walls , stainless steal tables that leave food scum all over where you can't wipe it up, so who knows what chemicals they are spraying on their tables. No coasters for the glass mugs, which makes a mess of water all over the table, no straws so you expect me to put my lips all over the glass cup are you serious what restaurant doesn't give out any straw. they give you a tray with paper on it so its not a real plate you get to use. So you'd cut that food of whatever your eating and possibly could cut through that paper, so I don't think that's very safe. I think this is a disturbing environment to be in , you got rude waitress that says these tables are reserved for whom ? We don't want to sit at a high table, the table sitting on the lower tables you can hit elbows sitting next to one another. The food has all weird flavorings that don't have a good taste after trying to eat it my throat hurts and my tounge feels a bit tingly so I'm not sure what the food has mixed in it. The bathroom is supper disgusting as well, dust and dirt all over the trimming of the floor, yellow all around the sink, toilet handle is junk and acts like it gets stuck , seems it doesn't get cleaned at all. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here and eat. It shouldn't be called rusty pigs, they should be called dirty pigs. It would be better to go to walmart and get a bologna sandwich! The menu didn't even have prices so that must be something wrong there. I feel like i want...
Read moreThe food gets a solid 4 stars. We ordered the brisket and the short ribs. They were served with slaw, corn bread and a choice of side. The meats were amazing. The slaw was great. The corn bread was underwhelming. The sides were nothing special. The seating was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, there is minimal parking in the front. My biggest issue with this place was the customer service. The servers are nice but clearly poorly trained. Which is a management issue. They quote it us a 45 minute wait time. We were not so hungry so this gave us a chance to walk around. They took our phone number and said they would text us when the table was ready. We came back 50 minutes later after not receiving a text. They apologized and said it would be 20 more minutes. At this point it was dinner time so all restaurants in the area had long waits. We decided to just stay near by and wait. 30 minutes later, no text. We decided to investigate and the other patrons let us know that they will never text us. That you had to wait there and basically stare at the place and point out free tables. Basically do their job for them. I took a peak at her waiting list and realized they had sat multiple groups that were in the list way after us. And most had been parties of 2, like ourselves. I would not recommend this place unless you have time to waste during your vacation. I would not be going back even if it was free. I could not bring myself to give them less than 2 stars because I felt the servers were nice enough and the food was ok. However, horrible management and...
Read moreMy husband and I have been wanting to try The Risty Pig for months! We were finally able to get reservations and thought we would enjoy a dinner with our children. However, after waiting at our table for 45 minutes (still not even an appetizer brought over) the hostess said "if he (our autistic toddler) doesn't stop yelling, you will have to take him outside. I've had complaints". I was in such awe that I couldn't even respond. Our son was NOT throwing a fit. He wasnt crying or throwing things. He was sitting in his seat and yelled every few minutes. A few minutes later, our son yelled again and i asked him if he wanted to go outside. Being the wonderful boy he is, he got down from his chair to come with me. I immediately started crying and went over to the hostess and explained that he has disabilities and that it was very disappointing he was being told to leave. She very coldy stated there was nothing she could do. I picked up our son and walked out of the restaurant crying with everyone looking at me awkwardly. What an unfortunate situation. The hostess was so rude and didn't even attempt to help us or solve the "problem" or show any compassion. What bothered us the most, is that she the environment itself was very loud and hectic. The music on, the TV was on, their were large fans blowing over head people were at the bar and most people were drinking. Being our first time we really didn't know what to expect. It is not a disabilities friendly establishment and we will...
