“So what do you bring to the table?” This. This is what I bring to the table. 🧈 A lifelong obsession with butter that frankly needs to be studied. Concept inspired by the fact that this jacket color was listed as ‘butter’ on the @sezane site when I ordered it alongside this bracelet - as well as a beautiful moment @leanneansar captured with her butter earrings. If my ears were piereced you know I’d be wearing those as well. 🤍 . . . #buttercharm #anexceptionallyshortfilm #romanticstyle #alafrancaise #sezane | filmed at the lovely @brunettewinebar, which I highly recommend visiting when in the Hudson Valley

My Roman Empire? This classy gal from Sex and the City (season 5, episode 1 ‘Anchors Away’) who Carrie meets at a diner counter during an unexpected rainstorm. We never learn her name. She’s wearing all black like a true New Yorker, has a bit of a potty mouth and a penchant for lithium-laced ice cream. She’s perhaps one of the most memorable SATC guest star appearances, perhaps only second to Kristen Johnson, whose character falls out of a high-rise window during a party. So who was this lithium lady? None other than Sylvia Miles — actress, Warhol friend and superstar and overall glamorous fixture of the 1970s New York party scene. One writer described Miles as being “photographed more often than Jackie O, usually with spectacular cleavage in view. She enjoys the drinks (usually wine), blithely wolfs the canapés and has a wonderful time living up to her reputation as the most ubiquitous presence on the Manhattan party circuit.” While her appearance in the episode is meant to signify the “worst possible future for single Carrie,” Miles’s real life couldn’t have been any further from that outcome — I mean, she snagged an Oscar nomination for a part whose screen time only amounted to 5 minutes — if that’s not impressive, then I don’t know what is. And she wasn’t shy about who she was and how she liked to live — my favorite kind of woman: unapologetically herself. “I’m always thought of as controversial or avant-garde or erotic or salacious,” she said in an interview once. “But there isn’t anybody I know who wouldn’t live my life if they could.” To Ms. Sylvia Miles, we salute you and we hope you’re having a fabulous time at some party somewhere up there, cracking inappropriate jokes with canapés close at hand. So tell me, are you a fan of Sylvia Miles as well? Wearing a @sezane blazer with my vintage @chanelofficial pin // Filmed by @ericneujahr on location at the most darling date night spot @brunettewinebar in Kingston, New York Also, on a housekeeping note, this is meant as a joke. No actual lithium was involved. . . . . #classicstyle #sexandthecityquotes #sezanelovers #sylviamiles #elegantstyle

WEEKEND GUIDE: KINGSTON, NY I love this little town so much-- have been 4x over the last few years, and it's the perfect weekend getaway from NYC! Here are my fave spots: STAY @hotelkinsley -- I brought my mom here for a weekend and then J and I stayed here this past trip, and I couldn't love it more. There are rooms across several historic buildings, and there's such attention to detail in every unique room (and heated bathroom floors!). One of my fave boutique hotels I've ever stayed at! EAT + DRINK @villagecoffeeandgoods -- this is a must-stop for me with great coffee, a ton of local baked goods (usually a couple GF/vegan options!), lots of great breakfast/lunch options, pantry goods from local businesses, and beautiful ceramics from local makers. @sweetmaresas -- a vegan bakery (they had some GF options, but nut-based!) that's also full of fun pantry goods and a great assortment of beverage options. @yumyumnoodlebar -- this is a local favorite and has GF options! @brunettewinebar -- a gorgeous little wine bar with so many fun varieties and lots of great bites too. @kingstonbread -- a super popular bakery/cafe (not really GF-friendly tho!) in town. SHOP @rivermintfinery -- a higher-end shop with beautiful clothes, jewelry, and candles. @hamiltonandadams -- a great shop with clothing for all, lots of fun upstate gifts/souvenir-type items that aren't cheesy, and is so fun to browse. @florabeauty_newyork -- skincare services, lots of cleaner beauty products, and some wellness goods too! @bluecashewkitchen -- for kitchen / food / drink lovers, I could stay in here for hours browsing all the trinkets. @esterwine -- such an amazing wine + spirits shop with so much variety and the friendliest staff! @shopcapitalvintage -- a really cool vintage spot with clothes, home goods, and more. Bark & Biscuit -- for all the dog parents out there, you gotta get something for your pup here. Half Moon Books -- classic bookstore that's full of every genre. @roughdraftny -- a dream place that has coffee, beer, cider, ample room, and shelves full of books. built in a historic academy building and has such a nostalgic feel! · #minnaly #TravelingMinnaly #upstateny

What an amazing place lead by fantastic people.

My wife and I stopped by here as soon as they opened on a past Saturday hoping to talk with the owners. She and I are interested in moving to Kingston and we wanted to hear their perspective on what living in Kingston was like. Apart from providing wonderful glasses of wine (and providing guidance when needed on what to drink) and non-alcoholic options, they took the time to really chat with us and share their thoughts and opinions. Between the atmosphere, delicious food and wine, and their welcoming warmth, I know we'll be back again and hope that we can...

What better way to fall in love with Kingston? Owners Tracy and Jamie have created a perfect wine bar a short stroll from the Rondout waterfront. From the stylish wallpaper to the white marble bar, it's always a pleasure to visit and drink from their constantly-evolving selection of natural wines. Each visit is a learning experience as well as a lovely escape from whatever you might have going on in your life. Oh, there are snacks too! Our favorite are the hotdog, shrimp roll and newly-added ramen. The jam and cheese sandwich also makes for a fun dessert, and don't miss the tiny egg sandwiches on...

My partner and I stopped in for a nightcap and the fresh baked cookie, and were so in love by the time we left! The tables are spaced out nicely so you have a bit of breathing room, and the establishment’s bathroom was warm - the first spot we found all weekend in Kingston on a winter weekend that didn’t have a chilly toilet experience. 😂

Our lovely server, Jessie, helped us both find a glass that suited our tastes. I found a new favorite natural red, it was absolutely spot-on for my palette. The cookie was a perfect portion for two with no leftovers or stomachache. We loved the time we...
