Westchester Community College Mt. Vernon — Attraction in City of Mount Vernon

I’m not even a student. I was accepted and trying to get through to anyone at the college or specific departments is a joke. Emails are encouraged as the best form of communication which is every frustrating. I want to speak to a person. Nothing is reflecting in my account via the student portal. And I took all the necessary steps to get documents submitted to start classes. My FAFSA was done in April of this year, my transcript was requested and received by the college according to parchment site sometime in June. If this is how messy and unprofessional this college is, I’m not going to be registering or attending classes. I was also supposed to get a waiver for the English placement exam. Classes start the 24th of September and I have yet to resolve anything. Not to mention some things I read online as requirements are not what I am used to when registering w a college. You can’t set up an appointment til after you take the placement tests, you have to pay out of pocket if your financial aid doesn’t clear, you can’t drop classes after the first day of classes without being penalized.
