I went in after the gym tonight. I had to ask for help after looking around for about 20 minutes. I understand in my gym clothes I probably don't look like a buyer. I was there to buy 100%. I am moving in to a new place Monday. Instead of moving my old stuff I am replacing everything. Bedroom, kitchen, & Living room. I went in about 10 after 8 ready to buy at 8:40 I have to finally ask for help. Enter Frank the only person working the floor also the manager. I very quickly let him know I am ready to buy & have it delivered Monday. He gathers my information & I come up as a previous customer. I realize they are closing at 9 & want to be respectful of his time also. I let him know I wanted the 5 piece bedroom set with a lamp but also wanted a kitchen set & a living room set. I say let me show you the kitchen set & Living room to get a total dollar amount because I am going to ask for a discount. I have a friend who also works at a furniture store & wants me to buy from him. I got his price & wanted to go to Raymour as I had a great experience there previously. Frank says NO we aren't going to discount anything. I said I already have similar stuff picked out at the other place but I would rather buy here. However again just no. I respect Raymours desire to maximize profit. Certainly their right. As a previous customer & a salesman @ my job I can't agree with this. A better way may have been to say I see you are a previous customer let's see what you pick out & I'll see what I can do. Fair & acceptable! NO is just a terrible way handle it. I will not only go to the other place but won't ever buy at a Raymour & Flanigan again. As a salesman I understand we can't make everyone happy but we still at a minimum TRY! Read moreVery pleased with visit and sales person that took care of my wife and myself but i was very disappointed about the fact that the particular recliner that I decided to purchase was not in stock and it would be 3 weeks or so before it would arrive . I had just had surgery for a hernia and really wanted a new recliner for my recovery . When my wife and I were first married and expecting our first child , we purchased a reclining sofa and recliner from your establishment and when we were told when the furniture would arrive I made sure that our old furniture was removed from our living to make it easier for your delivery people . However , there was delay after delay and my 6 month pregnant wife and I had to resort to using lawn furniture to sit on for a good 8 weeks or so and we both said we would never buy furniture from you again . A good friend of mine works in your Amherst , NY location , his name is Bruce Edwards and he assured me that he would take care of me if I ever needed furniture but when I was finally able to get up and around after surgery , he was on vacation and I didn't want to wait so we went to the Niagara Falls ,NY location and Rick was very helpful , I just hope this recliner is not longer than what I was told would arrive . My wife and I are planning on buying more furniture for our home and would like to keep my business with Raymore and Flanigan . Read moreI purchased a sofa, loveseat, reclining in four places, a lighter fabric was told to purchase the extended warranty and a cover spills, and any damages,no problems no questions asked. The salesperson stated if they can’t take care of it they’ll just replace it for you. I said oh that’s great. I purchased it that was in July. I noticed some spots on the fabric so I called and said I would like to have the spots taken care of they told me. To send photos then they replied, after reviewing the photos that they don’t do deep cleaning, they suggested I call someone else I said I paid for the warranty. I will absolutely not call someone else I’m expecting to have my Furniture service. They said well if we come out there and we have to replace it. It will void your warranty so it only makes sense for you to have someone else come out and clean the Furniture. since you just purchased this furniture in July.I said no have someone come out they said OK in two weeks which takes us to February 6 well they called today on February 2 and said that there technician had an emergency and will not be available until February 12. I said well can you send me a text message with that information they said no, they’ll be out between 8 AM and 12 noon and will contact you two days before.I have been a loyal customer of Raymor and Flanigan for decades.
