Zip's Chop Shop — Attraction in City of Oneonta

I opened the door, and before I could get a foot in, I was greeted by a big German shepherd that kept barking at me and would not let me in. The employees just stared for a good couple of seconds before even saying anything to recall the dog. I attempted to come in twice till finally the dog kinda toned it down a little. After walking in and finally being able to get my nerves calm to say a word, I asked if I can get a cut.I was told there will be a wait. I don't mind a wait; what I did mind was sitting there while the dog kept coming too close for self-comfort. I was very uncomfortable, and none of the employees cared to recall their animal, which I found also unprofessional. I tried to stick it out, but I couldn't. I left without getting a haircut after 20 minutes of waiting. I just find it very unprofessional to have a German shepherd running around a shop intimidating customers. Dogs are awesome and I love them. Just take into consideration not everyone is comfortable with a random German shepherd in there personal space. Incredible atmosphere, with a mix of retro and modern designs. Additionally, the owner was a genuinely nice guy, outgoing and having genuine conversations with customers.

The icing on the cake was my barber Chris. I originally went to him with another barbershop, so when he moved I made sure to stick with him. I was planning on sticking with him in the first place, but then my mom told me I had to go back as she said “that is the best haircut you have ever gotten, you HAVE to go back!”

I'm a busy resident at Bassett with a crazy schedule. I never know when I'll have time to do things like get a haircut. I called up Zips and they said I could come right down for a walk in. Aiden took care of me and gave me one of the best hair cuts I've ever had. That was a few months ago and I've recently got my second haircut from him.
