My experience here at the Peekskill dog park was amazing at first, as my dog really enjoyed having a large area to roam around. However regulars that come here make it feel unpleasant due to them having their own rules on new dogs that come here stating “they must be neutered to enter the dog park” however there is no sign posted and it makes me now feel uncomfortable going due to the regulars and there strict own self regulated rules. I have to preface this by saying my dog was alone on his side without interacting with the other dogs and it just seemed she couldn’t control her barking black lab and was angered by my dog not interacting with her dog. Read moreThe park is a little small. It does have a section for small dogs and a section for larger dogs. I find that in this park people are friendlier and more comfortable with larger breeds. There is no running water for your dogs. There are no facilities for pet owners. The park is fairly well kept and there are some toys for dogs to play with. There is also a very basic agility course if you will. If there are more than 5 dogs in the large breed section it becomes a little cumbersome.
