This place brings me so much joy. The classes are wonderful, and the instructors are kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. I learn something new every time I go, and I’m always amazed by what I’m able to create in just a couple of hours.

Devery, the owner, is genuinely kind and welcoming—and her sweet dog Walter makes every visit even better! She has a remarkable memory for people and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. A hidden gem in the community. If you’re, like me, dissatisfied by big name stores and looking for a local alternative, The Art Shoppe is the place to be. It gives a personal touch each visit and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a fun and exciting trip for me. I found everything I needed and was welcomed to test out pencils as I decided on the type I needed for a project. To me that goes above and beyond. I have shopped here a couple of times. Between Walter greeting me with tail wags, the attentiveness of the staff (Walter included), the quality and quantity of supplies, and the local art featured I was beyond impressed. Recently my girlfriends and I took an art class with Emily Bookmiller. I can't recommend taking a class with her enough! She was such a great teacher and so fun to spend time with!
