NY Nail & Spa — Attraction in City of Schenectady

The Worst customer Service I have ever gotten. They get mad when you want the basic mani pedi package and will try to trick you to upgrade it. I was in the chair about 8 minutes. They filled the basin with cold water. The man hardly scrubbed my feet. Barely cut my nails. Had the heel wax on my feet and then the slides in one swoop, the baggies were not even tied. He took the Rocks one pass over, what a farce, then proceeded to paint my nails. I asked if he was going to cut my cuticles he raised his voice telling me "I not finished let me do my job". Two seconds done. Painted my nails no top coat and done. I felt like he was in a race of some sort. And done. He won the race. I was disgusted and declined the manicure I had planned. I carried my own shoes sat down. Upon inspecting my nails he missed some spots. I walked over got the polish and filled in the spots. There was however a nice gentleman who tried to cover the mistakes. Before I was dry the man came over touched my nails that were still tacky and said they were dry. There were 3 of us. One lady had just sat down. They basically threw us out because it was closing time. Today I noticed the patched places were bare. My nails were not dry. A couple of years ago this place was great. The manicurists,if you can call them that, are horrible. With the exception of one gentle soul who at least tries.

DO NOT spend your money there. They don't like their jobs. They do bare minimum and the work is horrible. A child could have done better. I paid $20 for a color change in essence. The WORST ever!

To the OWNER your business is in serious decline. You are loosing your customer base. I am telling EVERY ONE I know. ENOUGH. If you are hard up for money just ask don't steal from folks who pay in good faith. You all should be ashamed. I would rather give you money than expect a service in return. Shape up or go out...

Came in today for an appointment I made.. 3 full sets. Over the phone I asked them how much it was going to cost, they said $40 each set. Once we got there the staff was incredibly rude.. did not say a single word besides sit when we walked in. Sat down and just waited till they waved me over alone as my two kids sat to the side. One guy started to prep me. I noticed how disgusting and unsanitary everything was. Immediately felt like this is not going to be good. (It was my first time ever here.) and I’m not one to crack code but it was just gross. I could not believe it. The one guy starts my nails, then switch with another guy, who then SWITCHES again to another guy… I was SO confused.. but whatever. Had my one kid go up finally like 20 minutes later. Lady was super rough and rude with her. Left cuts all over her cuticles.. was pulling her hands even though she was just sitting there… this lady was being so rude I almost got up to say something. My next kid went over and the guy was being super weird to her. Halfway through all of a sudden you could hear someone in the back CRYING FOR HELP!!!!! EXCUSE ME?!?! The man stopped half way on my second child … LOOKED ST HER AND SAID “PAY NOW” to which my kids were like ummm?? And called for me. The man looked at me and then sat back down and painted her nails. Listen… idk what this place is on… but absolutely will never go here again… ON the board it says $40 full set and they kept telling me $47???? I was so confused and felt like I was about to be on a prank tv show. This isn’t even all of it!!!!!!

Don't even barther spending your money here.They are horrible The first time I went here. They charged me $55 for a full set, 2 of my nail were crooked. I returned 2 weeks later for a fill. The same chunky woman that does not speak English did my nails again. I told her my nails were lifting & she put acrylic right over the lifted parts instead of snipping off the lifted parts. She cut me twice once with the file and then my cuticle because she was sanding too close and didnt even say sorry. When I was done, We want to the counter & She punched in the amount i owed her on a calculator and turned it to show me how much I had to give her. She charged me $43 for just a fill & polish. I go to Walmart & they only charge $35. I complained to them about the price, but they ignored all ignored me and acted like the didn't know what I was saying. I'm sure that one of them understands English.. well 2 of my nails came off 3 days later. I will not be going back to this place. They need to learn English so they can learn to speak to their customers and understand what their customers want. There prices don't match the board on their wall.
