Large outdoor mall covering a large expanse with many functioning brick and mortar stores. Five below, Party City in what once was a movie theater, IHOP, Barnes and Noble cover the beginning portion of the Mall. In this area, parking may be an issue despite the large, free parking lot because of the popularity of these stores but the turn over of spots is quick except in front of the book store. There are several other storefronts within the this Mall. Like many other places there are several empty places like where David's Bridals and Pizzeria Uno once stood but are no longer there. Read moreThis would have been a great shopping center but there's always a dilemma in the parking lot, either they are cleaning it during business hours (watch out for the gas powered leaf blower it will scratch your car paint with the tiny pavement stones flying around) or there is always a project going on where they are jack hammering a section of it to improve it, once they are done (after months of hammering the pavement during business hours) then they start hammering another section, is like an eternal vice circle. Read moreI've been coming to this plaza for over 50 years. It has a wide variety of stores. If your in the northern part of Yonkers on Central Avenue, it is widely recommended that you shop and possibly eat as well. It has great parking and easy access to stores with a nice sidewalk. A great attraction here is the Barnes & Noble bookstore. So when you wanna get out and shop ans want to go some place different, come to the central plaza shopping center. You can spend a whole day here and really enjoy it. Take the family, for there is something for everyone....
