Let me start by saying that this isn't my regular Starbucks for similar reasons that I am about to layout. When I do go to this location I usually run in to staff that looks and acts miserable. The atmosphere seems depressing and at times toxic. The only person I have dealt with there who is always a pleasure is Sonia or Sophia, I'm bad with names but it's something like that. She's terrific; engaging, always cheerful, or at least happy to help. The store is always dirty even if it's not busy and the people are slow. The coffee so inconsistent, even the shots, which I drink exclusively since, imo, Starbucks coffee is terrible and over-roasted. It must be the calibration of their espresso machine or the water. But, in any case, today I was there and Jon Michelle took my order and even made sure I wanted my shots separate from the other drink, which, for some reason is an issue sometimes, idk why. So I waited, and there were a lot of drinks being made so I was totally cool waiting. Stephanie was making the drinks, I've never seen her before, but like I said, this isn't my regular Starbucks. When you order espresso, it's important for it to be hot and not sit too long, anyone dealing with coffee understands this. My shots came up and I expected the other part of my order to be up shortly. I waited another 10 min. Then asked for my shots to be remade, not wanting to sound like a d**k, I was totally nice about it and tried to explain why, i.e., because espresso sours after it cools, Stephanie didn't want to hear it, looked at me like I had two heads then, with an annoyed look, took my cup and said "sure" curtly. I tried to explain more, since I didn't mean to offend her but she turned and ignored me. She remade my shots immediately then a minute or two later had my other drink ready and in a condescending tone called out the drink and my name. I mean, yeah, not used to this at Starbucks. My regular Starbucks across the street is consistent, 99% of the people are pleasant, professional and upbeat and the atmosphere is much lighter and less ominous (not talking about the lighting or decor) but the feeling. Another thing is that not one of the three cups I received were personalized which I'm used to now and I think it adds a nice touch, even though that's a...
Read moreI walked in to this Starbucks the other evening, it was no joke a minute before anyone acknowledged me. I ordered a brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso a new item on the menu. There were 3 people behind the counter. One was making the drinks of the prior customer. The girl who took my order asked her colleague how to make the drink I ordered and then said oh well I’ll just wait for the other guy to make it. Then, I heard the guy say well ima let you handle that drink cause he didn’t know how to make it either. All awhile they were all speaking to each other as if there were no customers in the store.
I sound like one of those people who are entitled or something. But i ended up just asking for a refund. Which I think is better than paying $6 for a bad coffee.
It’s not about the time I waited - I am a patient person but I didn’t like the experience from when...
Read moreThis place gets 5 stars because of Lorenzo! Can we get a Lorenzo at all Starbucks locations. Anytime I order a venti cappuccino at various Starbucks places, they never do it correctly. Trust me I have been to dozens of different locations, different states and no one ever makes a cappuccino the way it should be. It's always served to me as a latte. To top it off the drink weighs more than I do. Lorenzo is the only one who has successfully pulled off a cappuccino with almond milk. Can Lorenzo be a Starbucks trainer? Train all the Starbucks staff on barista. I specifically return to the 2458 Central Park ave location in hopes that Lorenzo can do my cappuccino but that hasn't been a success so I have stopped returning to this location and any...
