Terrible! Horrendous service and poor quality food. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had called early on and placed an order for a tres leche cake with whip cream, strawberries & peaches, thin layer of dulce de leche with almonds on the side along with it saying happy birthday mom on the cake. The lady had repeated my order exactly as what I said and told me it would cost around $50 or so because of the additions, no problem. I live in Long Island and told the lady taking my order that I would like to pick it up early because I live 2 hours away which she was accommodating and said okay to 9AM. On February 11, when I went to pick up the cake it did not have the writing on top and the nuts were very scarce. I had asked the young lady to please put more nuts since there was barely any. Once I paid I just received back the receipt and said if I can have a bag. She stated they charge $1.50 for the bag and I said okay I will pay but then told me there is a $7 min since I was paying with a card. So, I just carried the box. Finally, when it came to opening the cake for everyone and cutting a slice I realized this was the completely wrong order. I had given my mom the first slice hoping it would still be good just different but she couldn’t finish it. Just like that the whole cake was thrown out. I was so upset and embarrassed that I had brought this cake for my Mother’s birthday. It was such a terrible feeling of disappointment. The mousse was so thick and the whipped cream was overwhelmingly thick. The next day (Feb 12) I had called early in the morning and told the bakery my situation that I got the wrong order and could even send them photos. I spoke with a lady named Miriam who really made my experience even more unpleasant. What had happen was that the young lady from the day I picked up the cake did not give me a yellow copy of the order I only got the payment receipt. On that order someone had crossed out the strawberry and peaches and wrote caramel mousse. I told Miriam this is incorrect I never stated that. To make it more unpleasant this lady was inconsiderate and rude towards the end. Because I didn’t get that order receipt I couldn’t fight my case. Stating that they can give me a $5 store credit. But can’t reimburse me. I stated I would like to talk to the boss and she said she would leave a message and the boss would get back to me but because the boss doesn’t come everyday just here and there that she can’t give me a definite period as to when the boss will contact me. So, I waited the whole day on February 13 and got no call. I called again on February 14 and finally spoke to a lady who was much more pleasant and helpful. I told her I was expecting a call and just wanted to see if the boss was available. The lady said she will see if there was any message left and as to my surprise the lady informs me that no message was left. Miriam had told me she left a message for their boss. I do not appreciate being lied to which made me even more upset. However, the lady was much more understanding of my situation and gave me a number to reach out to so I can send photos of what I received. Which, is what I wanted to do early on but Miriam was not at all helpful. I sent the pictures to the number and Miriam calls me back which I really wasn’t too happy about. Stating she spoke with the boss and can only give me $22 store credit for their bakery, when I physically go they can service it. Which I had repeatedly said I live in Long Island. Tolls are not cheap. I have never experienced this before and never wrote such a detailed review like this for a bakery. What upsets me is how inconsiderate and unprofessional this bakery has been. I would stick to much better places& with better customer services such as Martha’s country bakery. But I wanted to support this bakery because it’s wasn’t just me but my whole family that has been coming here for 10+ years. However, most definitely we agreed to never go back to this bakery. Horrendous experience!! Please don’t waste your time and money.

Ive been ordering cakes here for 13 years,I remember when they use to do the best cakes and some things in their bakery are good, but lately every time i spend money with them and trust them with my cake a get all whip cream cake with bearly cake, lately all my cakes all pure whipcream and not cake, when my guests taste they get dissapointed and so do I,it makes me even more upset that as soon as I noticed they where doing this so several times in a row with my cakes, ive tell them every time I order and they still manage to give me a whipcream cake not a cake no matter what type of cake I get which is weird ,sometimes I even think is purposely but I am not aware of the reasons,I just thought that they are probably on low budget and the cake mix is more expensive so they decice to trick me with the price and whipcream cake 🤢,I decided to do this review until now to try to give them a chance, but this was my daughters bday her one and only 13th,for this to happen at her party once again, everyone left the cake on the tables and had those faces of dissapointment I had to apologize for the excess of whipcream and for all of us not being able to feel the cake as we tasted,Another thing is I always order way ahead. There are no excuses to get a real cake.Sorry but I had to say how I feel.

Found this place on Google and decided to try it because the reviews were great. I went to this bakery late, about 7 minutes prior to closing and purchased a cake. I was acknowledged after about a minute of browsing, which is fine. I had to chose from what was pre-made considering it was last minute. I went with the mango tres leches and let me tell you, that cake was delicious! The cake was a fair price and the young lady was helpful in explaining the other flavors of cakes and the pricing. She also wrote on the cake with what seems to be an edible wafer. I asked her about the day it was made, she said they're usually made within 48 hours and I went with one that I was hopeful was made the same day. I ended up getting the cake for a loved one, who froze it for a later date. The pic is the cake after it was defrosted, and still in perfect condition with the exception of the dissolved wafer and smudged writing. It was sooo good! Even having to freeze and defrost it, the cake still had a great taste and texture. It was the perfect consistency for tres leches, because I hate when people make it too milky (iykyk). I definitely plan on returning to try other cakes and of course I recommend. Btw, the bakery is very clean and the personnel also look clean and presentable!

I wanted to surprise my significant other with her two favorite cakes for her birthday. So I got one cake from the Cheesecake Factory and the second was going to be from La Piñata. I had a very busy schedule and a short window to make the surprise happen. So I called ahead and asked specifically, If am purchasing a cake from you, would you be able to write on a cake I received from another location, I explained where I got it from and that they couldn’t write on it (it’s prepackaged and frozen). The young lady said sure come in I can do that for you. I arrived and ordered the cake and made the request again. And the young lady serving me seemed confused, so I told her someone confirmed they could do it and and she left to ask a manager. There was no manager available so another young lady decided to decline writing on the cake because of liability reasons. Made no sense but I was short on time and out of options because I had no time to figure out a plan B. She didn’t seem to care and wasn’t bothered that she was going to lose a sale in the moment and a customer for life simply because she wouldn’t honor what their staff said. I drove out of my way to them and they refused. I offered to put it in writing that I wouldn’t pursue them, if they could please help out. For something as simple as writing on a prepackaged cake. I offered to pay for the service and they still declined. The lack of flexibility just shows they didn’t value my business. I wasn’t irate or disrespectful but I felt disrespected that I wasted my time after they confirmed a service. I called the local Shoprite and asked the bakery if they could help and the gentleman without hesitation said yes, you don’t even have to buy anything. ShopRite is a larger corporation that this bakery and didn’t fear “risk”. I am not one to signal a personal bias based on appearance or race because I would hope that wouldn’t play a part in them assisting me, but I couldn’t make sense of why they would give me such a hard time when I was spending money to just write on a cake. They actually write on these cardboard things that they place on top of the cake. They could have written it on one and handed it to me to apply myself without coming in contact with the cake I brought. I will not return and I will be sure to share my...

My family and i have made multiple purchases from here over the past years & never had a bad experience. Unfortunately the last 2 visits (March 2024 & May 2024) i can’t say the same. In March i went to pick up a order placed for pick up @3PM (arrived @3:10ish) when arriving the lady asked for my info & the order name (under my sister) and said to allow 10 min as they were just finishing up. I was confused thinking the cake should have already been done but wasn’t . I was completely understanding and let it be waiting basically 1HR!! I was annoyed but tried to brush it off thinking maybe they were behind or what ever the case was i was trying to be positive.

In my last visit yesterday the cake order was place for 2PM but i arrived 3PM because of the inconvenience that happened prior i didn’t want to wait . When the lady was showing me the cake it was COMPLETELY WRONG! HAPPY wasn’t even written correctly. The cake design was not what i asked for . The cake looked extremely rushed and messy . I placed the cake order in person and not over the phone to avoid any confusion & was also paid in FULL. I was in disbelief. I asked for whipped cream not buttercream. The cake was supposed to have fondant as 1 of the designs and they made it in frosting claiming that fondant and whipped cream don’t go well together. Informed her that the girl who took the order never mentioned that to me when placing the order in person. I just do not understand why they ask for a phone number to place an order but can’t make a simple phone call to inform of any change or if they needed clarification on the design. The lady yesterday was asking if i wanted to have the cake redone but they were doing to need time, i informed her i didn’t have time to wait. Did mentioned they would be able to deliver but i was just already annoyed at the fact that i don’t live extremely near and i had already spend money to be there (live 30-35 min away) i informed her that was not going to be an option. She was able to discount $50 for the mistake but that honestly doesn’t make up for the fact that this was a mistake of the cake makers and the lady who took...
