Family Kitchen — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

Mandarin Wok was closed on 10/13/21. Therefore, I decided to buy food from this restaurant (in person order). Since Mandarin Wok was close this restaurant had a lot of order. They were backed up with orders and very disorganized. All the staff were yelling at one another and the sad part is that they argued without a mask. I wasn't sure if I wanted to order from Family Kitchen because my few last experiences were horrible but I was craving Chinese food and so I gave them one more chance. All I can say is that this restaurant need to be reinspected. Their food taste old and spoiled. My boyfriend and I ordered boneless spareribs with pork fried rice and broccoli chicken with white rice. The boneless spareribs we're burnt and they gave us spaghetti not Lo Mein. The Lo Mein missed onions, peppers and many more ingredients. The broccoli chicken with white rice was disgusting. The chicken tasted tangy and it had a funny smell. I thought it was the soy sauce. My boyfriend and I were hungry so we ate a couple of spoon of each plate. Our stomach did not sit right with this food. Fifteen minutes after eating their food started to involuntarily gag and vomit. I have ordered delivery from here many times but the last time the half chicken was totally chared and burnt like it had been in an inferno and was inedible! I tried to give them another chance and dine in and had egg foo young which was portioned small with very inadequate portions of gravy and rice! On top of that I said I had a condition where I needed to drink a lot of water and could they please put some in a container for me as a courtesy for a good customer that gave them a lot of business. They refused and only gave me a tiny cup with hardly any water although I spent a lot of money there and gave them a lot of business! I WILL NEVER ORDER OR DINE IN THERE AGAIN! I don't like being nickel and dimed while being served bad food in small portions and disrespected with lousy customer service and bad attitude. My family and I went to get takeout for the lunch special. We spent $60 and were extremely disappointed. One of our orders came burnt, and when we called the restaurant to explain the issue, we were told that is how they make it. I’ve had the dish before from other Chinese restaurants, and while they are crispy and golden, I’ve never received it burnt. Something burnt shouldn’t be on your menu and given to customers.
