I haven't shopped at homegoods in the past. However, I recently moved and received a gift certificate for this store. I visited one Friday afternoon and spent over an hour at this location shopping. The staff present on the floor was almost non existent if you had a question. But I found lots of great buys. The checkout process was another issue. The line was long and incredibly slow. Once I reached an actual cashier she seemed pleasant enough and carefully rang my purchase. Or so i thought. It wasn't until I got home with my purchases that I realized I didn't have all the items I had purchased. I returned the next day to the store and asked to see a manager. The manager happened to be right next to the cashier that I spoke with but was already assisting someone. The manger just glanced over at me but didn't speak. So I simply waited however, my patience began run out when she just kept looking over at me but moving on to other customers. When I realized that she clearly had no intention to assist me. I asked another staff member working on the floor to assist me. When I explained to him the issue he immediately went behind the register and sorted through various shopping bags before he found my missing bag! I really hope that the many shopping bags I saw him sifting through to find mine didn't mean that was how many customers purchases they have left behind their registers! He apologized for the wait and at this point the manager came over and apologized with him. To little to late in my opinion. I wouldn't return to this location. I was inconvenienced when the cashier didn't hand over all of my purchases then further inconvenienced by the manager. Not very...
Read moreI visited home goods yesterday, Monday 1/28 with my family yesterday and was racially profiled by who I guess was the manager. She was wearing a blue shirt and black sweater/hoodie. I initially came in with my newborn baby who was in his stroller. I went in to buy a hello kitty blanket. I found 3 in total that I wanted but I couldnât get a cart because I had my son in the stroller. Therefore, I put the 2 blankets under the stroller and one on top of my sonâs stroller. They were all visibly noticeable but I noticed this woman following me around the store. She stopped twice in front of me and tried to see what I had under my stroller. She then proceeded to wait in the entrance with her arms crossed until I checked out & she saw that I had indeed purchased the blanket. It was very busy, and instead of helping the employees with the line, she stayed at the front watching me. This is DISGUSTING behavior coming from this woman, especially because I was with my baby! Why would I steal a blanket? Itâs ridiculous, I will be returning to get this womanâs name. She should be held accountable for her actions, there were other guests hut she only followed me. I thought I was imagining things but when my In Laws, Husband and daughter met up with me inside home goods, they also noticed that this lady was following me. Unacceptable, disgusting behavior. As to the cashier who rung me up, thank you. She was a nice hispanic lady who helped me double check the blanket I purchased was infact the size I needed. Please make sure you have good customer service skills and donât treat people like that,...
Read moreAbsolutely the one of the RUDEST staff Iâve ever encountered - today is August 28th- I was at the store at around 5:30/6 pm. I moved a rolling desk chair to look at a bookshelf behind it. I was in my own thoughts but felt one of the staff, very tall man, staring at me. It was very uncomfortable and then he sucked his teeth loudly and stormed over to the chair I moved and aggressively put it back and stormed off talking under his breathe. He then did the same thing to a kid who picked something up, he stared the kid down and then when the kid put it down he stormed over snatched it up. My daughter went to sit in a chair and he said âunbelievable,â and stormed off again. He was slamming carts, talking about customers in front of them to himself but loudly enough for anyone to hear. It was just unbelievable. Homegoods might not be the best place of employment for him. He was easily irritated, aggressive, rude and seemed to not like people. If Homegoods has any positions available where he doesnât need to see or speak to anyone, that would probably be a better fit. Vibe check of this store was just...
