This was a one-star review turned into five by true heroes! I've written various reviews but none as long as this one. So get your popcorn ready!
I've come to this theater many many times, never an issue. On this particular day of 8/05/25, we had purchased our tickets online to see Superman. After arriving and finding our seats, the reclining function was out of order. Quite a few rows of seats were out. Headed out to the concession area and I spoke to cashier Swain. She got a hold of maintenance guy Sean. Took him only a few minutes to find the tripped circuit breaker upstairs somewhere and the chairs were working. Meanwhile, I was directed by Swain to speak to someone at the ticket booth. After explaining the issue(chairs weren't fixed yet), that cashier said the only resolution was accept the broken seats or get a refund and get out. He checked seat availability but everything was purchased except the very front row. Told him that is way too close for me and my ears. I asked if we could come back the next day for the same price? Nope! I asked to speak to a MGR. MGR Leon arrives. Explained the issue again to him, then I asked him if it's true that if I ask for a refund if I had to leave, he confirmed with a yes, proceeded to process a refund and handed me the receipt. Problem is, I had not requested a refund yet. And with that, he turned around and left despite hearing me yell that I had not requested the refund. I asked the cashier, he confirmed neither I nor did he tell MGR Leon to process a refund.
I voiced my discontent to Swain, and luckily, another manager was present. MGR Mrs Brockington overheard the situation and told us to go back in and didn't need to repurchase my tickets. Yay! Except when we got to our seats, within those few minutes, the seats were purchased and occupied.
We let MGR Brockington know. After she checked the only seats available, she accommodated us with a complimentary viewing of fantastic four and a complimentary viewing of Superman the next day which was today, 8/06.
Shame on MGR Leon for being so cold and unsympathetic! I hope Swain can be a manager there one day! She went above and beyond to give us the help we needed to resolve this. Thanks to Sean for being so quick to fix the issue! And the biggest thanks to MGR Mrs. Brockington! She is single-handedly the only reason why I will continue to go to and recommend this movie theater. Btw, loved...
Read moreThis movie theater sets a high standard with its impeccable cleanliness, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step inside. The standout feature undoubtedly lies in its plush, reclining leather chairs, which not only add a touch of luxury but elevate the entire movie-watching experience. These comfortable seats make the cinema visit more than just about the film—it becomes a moment of relaxation and indulgence.
Adding to the luxurious experience, the theater also offers Starbucks coffee by the bar, perfect for grabbing a coffee or tea before or after your movie. And let's not forget the restrooms! The bathrooms here are some of the cleanest I've ever encountered in any movie theater or restaurant – a true rarity and a welcome respite.
For some pre-movie fun, the theater also features a small play arcade area. This is a great way to entertain yourself or the kids before the movie starts.
The culinary offerings go beyond the ordinary, presenting a diverse and tempting selection of food that surpasses the usual movie snacks. The commitment to quality is evident in every bite, making it clear that this theater values providing a premium dining experience alongside the entertainment.
What sets this movie experience apart is the option to enjoy alcoholic beverages. The availability of liquor adds an extra layer of enjoyment, allowing patrons to unwind with a drink of their choice while immersing themselves in the cinematic journey.
In summary, this movie theater doesn't just screen films; it creates an environment where cleanliness, comfort, delectable food, and the option for a beverage converge, making it a top-notch destination for those seeking a truly elevated and enjoyable...
Read moreThe newly remodeled cinema has comfortable seating and also features a bar and lounge area. Lines were long, so I purchased a ticket at a kiosk, no problems there. When we were seated and watching the trailers, a dispute erupted over a couple sitting in another couple's reserved seats. One man was extremely irate and launched into a profanity laced tirade against the other man. He also physically threatened the him too. Security came in and tried to diffuse the situation. They escorted the guy and his companion out of the theater. He could be heard yelling outside in the lobby area. Eventually he was let back in, whereas I believe that he should have been banned from the movie. Disruptive teenagers and crying children didn't help improve the viewing experience. Several patrons were yelling at these teens to shut up. My friend eventually got security to come in and tell them to be quiet, worked for about two minutes. The manager on duty was helpful and remained calm as he was dealing with several customer complaints about the same issue. I know they can't predict how patrons will act..but I think they should be able to toss disruptive people out. As for a quiet movie experience...don't expect it in Cross County. Idiot parents who bring infants and young children to R- rated horror films and rowdy teens outnumber the patrons who just want to enjoy their $16 movie and overpriced concession food in peace and quiet. We received free movie passes from the manager as compensation. No worries, as I won't be back. It's a shame that you can't enjoy a movie locally on a Saturday night. I'll be going back downtown for movies...the extra money is worth it to avoid the trashy behavior of some...
