Update: The manager Kathy called me today and immediately apologized and shared that her supervisor was in training. She asked if I can come back in so that she could refund me. I met Kathy in person and she was overwhelmingly kind and without hesitation gave me my refund. I wanted to pay for my coffee yesterday and only needed a refund for the food but she insisted on a whole refund for the inconvenience. Happy to report that customer service is still alive in 2024. Thank you Kathy.
I had high hopes for this bagel shop since my family and I love bagels. So, I thought I'd check it out first and then surprise my kiddos later with a trip to the local bagel shop. I've never been so disappointed. I ordered the Lox & Stock. It tasted okay, lacking in a bit of flavor, but as I went to eat the other half, I found myself chewing on a huge piece of something plastic. Ugh, I feel so nauseous to my stomach right now just thinking about it. As you can imagine, I was disgusted. I went up the cashier and told her what I had found. Not only was she dismissive, but she didn't even apologize. She then went to offer to make me another one. I said no thank you and asked for a refund. She said because I ate half of the bagel, she can only authorize a half refund. I asked for a full refund, and she said she wasn't authorized to do that. So, then I asked for her supervisor, and she said she was the supervisor. She then started to gossip and sneer with the other employees right in front of me like I was the one in the wrong for asking for a refund. Being the supervisor, and taking into account that your customer almost just ate a huge piece of plastic, you'd think a full refund would be automatically offered, but no. She kept insisting that she's not authorized to do that. Customer service is dead, ya'll. She said that if I wanted a full refund that I'd need to talk to the general manager tomorrow when they are back in the store. So, I'll be doing that and will never be taking my family here and I would advise that you stay far away from this...
Read moreMy first time trying this place and I wish I could rate it higher. Because I loved the atmosphere and service and I would love to give them another try and another chance. I liked what I ordered "in theory". I ordered the lunch special that came with a bagel sandwich of my choice, a side, and a drink. Great deal! And when it came it looked great, a sandwich with all the fixings I like, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and red onion. I got the onion cheese bagel with pastrami and cheddar. I asked for toasted, but when I clarified "lightly toasted" it arrived looking completely untoasted and cold. I just didn't want it looking dark or burnt so I said "lightly toasted", but I did want it hot. And the meat and cheese were also cold. I looked on the menu and the pastrami sandwich, if just ordered that way, is a hot sandwich on their menu board. So that's what I was expecting. I think the flavors blend better with a hot bagel and hot meat and then the cheese would've been melted too. But the cheese didn't melt because both the bagel and the meat were cold. Especially the pastrami was ice cold and that's what I didn't like the most. Their pastrami will never match The Hat for quality either. It looked like cold roast beef and that's what it...
Read moreI came in on a Wednesday afternoon and I absolutely loved the vibe. It was dimly lit, good music playing and I received outstanding service from Amani.
She’s so warm, kind and helpful. I couldn’t decide what I wanted because everything sounds so good.
On her advice, I ordered and everything bagel club and added red onions and ooooooo mmmmmmm it was sooo good. Fresh, aesthetically pleasing and also just great flavor.
Also, the bagel chips are so, so good. I plan to use them for hummus and lebni dip. Fragrant, nice crisp, and delicious. I highly recommend.
The Chinese chicken salad is simple and what I love about it is the generous amount of dressing.
Will come back for a light lunch any day.
Kudos to great food, service...
