We came as a family to celebrate my daughter's 22nd birthday. The choice was easy: my parents are SUPER picky eaters. They chose to come here AND it was within the last couple of weeks = winning. We got here just minutes after 5pm and seated right away (literally the first customers). All of the employees at the front greeted us. First star. Our server was LeaLea (pronounced lay). She was super attentive, courteous, and put up with out eccentricities. There were 6 of us total so we kept her busy. Not certain how long she has been there, because you tell there were some nerves, but she absolutely did wonderful! Second star. Now, the food. If you like spicy, get the hot; not a big fan of the heat, get mild or none. I got the medium juicy (ALL of their choices of seasonings) and it was just right and very flavorful! They have a variety of seafood and other choices (tenders, fries, etc.) if you're not a big seafood fan. Third star. We ordered hush puppies and calamari. Perfectly fried, crispy, and fluffy not chewy, and my dad had the chowder (same as his previous visit). Fourth star. We all ordered a bunch of different things and for the most part, our orders were correct. All in all, our server, the time we ordered and received our food, the quality, and how everything tasted was well on point! Fifth star. I think it was the manager (20, male) sang my daughter happy birthday with the staff AND threw in some cheesecake to go. Let's just say, if you come visit and want seafood and don't mind getting messy (like REALLY) get in there, come HERE to the Jumbo...

4 out of 5 stars; reason given at end of review.
Hands-on experience, literally.
We were swiftly seated by a friendly hostess.
Our sever was professional, polite and efficient. Drinks came quickly, appetizer order took under ten minutes once placed with the kitchen.
For an appetizer we ordered the calamari, which was somewhat chewy and seemed to have mild spices (mild heat) mixed with the batter.
Husband ordered from the 'Make Your Own Seafood Combo' section of the menu: Shrimp with heads on and Clams. Seasoning, Mild Cajun.
Shrimp were a bit over cooked. Clams were perfect.
I ordered from the same menu: Green Mussels and King Crab. Seasonig, Garlic and butter.
King crab was a bit over cooked. Mussels were perfect.
Food will arrive in a plastic bag, on a serving platter. Bucket with all utensils, bibs, and plastic gloves are placed on the table. This makes for a hands-on dining experience (served at other seafood restaurants in this manner).
Be careful not to wear clothes you don't want grease and or stains on.
Prices are a avarage for similar seafood served in this area.
I rated this location based upon similar seafood restaurants.
The salt content seemed rather high. Certain items were a little over cooked (shrimp & crab). And the number one reason, I found half a plastic clip tie (it was white) in my...
Read moreUpdated review, ordered same thing to give this place a second try, only this time the customer service was horrible, shrimp was way smaller than before and the oysters I ordered were horrible. They were turning pink and slimey meaning they've been rotting. Wont be returning. March 21, 2019
I ordered a pound of the shrimp with the head on, mild spicy with the all juicy sauce. Along with raw oysters. I did a to-go order so I couldnt really rate the customer service. I will say as far as the food goes, it wasnt bad. Great quality! Less flavor compared to Storming Crab though. PROS: shrimp was JUMBO size and fresh! Their pricing is set on the menu, and it was a decent amount of shrimp instead of the bag containing more corn and potatoes compared to storming crab. CONS: the spice level had no spicy kick to it what so ever. Even with mild, it was pretty bland when it came to spice. Was hoping for a slight kick. However, the raw oysters didnt have ice underneath or over it when I ordered it, which increase the risk of food poisoning. I would highly suggest the restaurant when serving any raw seafood to have ice accompany it for that reason. Other than that, I get that they are a new business and still developing. I'll wait till they start forming together a bit more to try it again. Wasn't bad for the cost and quality of...
