Serenity Spa — Attraction in Claymont

I booked a Body Polish treatment at Serenity Spa expecting a thorough exfoliation and to leave feeling clean and refreshed. Instead, it was one of the most disappointing spa experiences I’ve ever had.

First, Cristina, the therapist, wasn’t welcoming at all—she didn’t even greet me when I arrived, despite me being there 15 minutes early. No smile, no hello—just completely cold and uninviting.

The service itself lasted only 40 minutes and was nowhere near a proper body polish. She lightly rubbed my legs with a damp towel, barely used any scrub, then did the same to my back with a quick wipe from a hot towel. After turning over, she repeated the same minimal routine on the front of my arms, legs, and décolleté. It felt rushed, careless, and ineffective.

To make matters worse, she finished by slathering a thick layer of oil—claiming it was lotion—which wasn’t rubbed in at all. I left the spa feeling sticky and greasy, and even stuck to my car seat on the way home. I had to shower immediately just to feel clean.

I’m only in town for my husband’s golf tournament, but if we ever return to this area, I definitely won’t be back—and I wouldn’t recommend Serenity Spa to anyone, not even my...

I happen to notice the spa on Philadelphia Pike and decided to walk in. The Ambiance and decorations are perfect when I first walked in, I was greeted by the staff and Eva made it her business to introduce herself and to give me a personal tour of her facility. I walked in with curiosity and walked out purchasing my mom a gift card to a hot stone session. I am pregnant and instead of simply providing a service for the money i was told all the precautions i should take, and learned info i had never known before. And although i couldnt get my massage because of risks to the baby so early in the pregnancy, i was still taken care of and treated like family.
