Sun Luck Garden Chinese Food — Restaurant in Cleveland Heights

Every one of y’all, that said this food was good are liars! This was THEE MOST, UNappetizing, plain, distasteful Chinese food I’ve ever had. Lemon chicken?! More like bitter sweet lemon water gloop w Tyson chicken tenders! Beef w broccoli; idk what that was, but It definitely was NOT beef! More like wet, dehydrated beyond meat! Eggrolls;DRY. The only thing good about the vegetable mei fun, were the vegetables; which were also plain, but at least they taste fresh. When former owner, Annie, left her restaurant; the quality went with her. I had not been there for a long time, so curious, some friends and I went to see what had happened. The place was completely empty of customers. The highly original appetizers and main courses had vanished from the menu. Annie often cooked special, fresh food herself; and visited each table to make sure everyone was satisfied. The menu now has the very plain and cliche offerings. I recently read a review calling this place a hidden gem. I moved to the area less than a year ago and always looking for great food. I have been to some good Chinese restaurants in The Chinatown area. But having this place so close I had to try it. IT IS A HIDDEN GEM. I had shrimp egg foo young, shrimp egg roll, beef chow fun, and vegetable fried rice. Everything was DELICIOUS!! I can save my gas and just walk to get excellent Chinese food.
