Harper + Ivory was the first shop I went to when I began searching for my wedding gown. I entered the experience a bit apprehensive, but was completely put at ease the moment I entered the shop. The shop alone is stunning. The natural light made it easy to see what the dress would look like during our outdoor ceremony, and truly let the details of each dress shine through.
I ended up visiting the shop twice. Despite loving a few different gowns after my initial appointment, I wanted to check in with other shops in the Columbus area before making any final decisions. Lauren helped us throughout the process for both of my visits to the shop, and was able to present me with different dresses that completely matched my style. She genuinely listened to my thoughts on each dress, my budget, and how I’d like to feel on my wedding day. She used our appointment time efficiently, to ensure that I was able to see as many dresses as possible (since I didn’t start off with any sort of “dream” dress), without making me feel rushed. When presenting me with gowns, I felt as though she truly saw ME - and wasn’t just giving me options at the top of my price range (a feeling I very much had at the other shops I visited). She felt like someone I had known forever, who was able to help me navigate one of the biggest decisions of my wedding. Both appointments flew by!
I cannot articulate enough how special this shop is. The love the staff and owner have for their craft is tangible. My dress was beautiful, and the whole process was so easy! If you’re looking for a wedding gown, you NEED...
Read moreHarper and Ivory was by far the best bridal shop experience I had- that being said, it is one of the key reasons I said yes to the dress!
#1. The dress! The gown selection is a mix of modern and trendy to classic. There is a perfect variety, and personally I believe it to be the best size of inventory. It is easy to get overwhelmed with similar patterns and styles, which is not the case here. Plus —the designers are not your average, which I LOVED. My dress is from Jane Hill Bridal and I am obsessed. The fabric is incredible. You can tell that all the dresses in stock are a step above.
MARINA- literally so perfect at her job. She lets you choose gowns that strike your interest, and then guides you along the way based on what you like. What stands out to me most about Marina is that she can put you in a gown and pin it in all the right areas in seconds! She knows exactly what she is doing. I honestly feel like this is SO important when trying on dresses because .. having it be perfectly adjusted to “look” tailored REALLY matters.
The shop itself is so gorgeous. I honestly can’t say enough good things about my experience here. I am so excited to get my dress! Thank you so much...
Read moreMy experience with H&I prior to picking up the dress I purchased was top knotch. My guests that came with me still talk about the experience and customer service. I also thought the stylist, Gabby, was awesome to work with.
Fast forward, once I picked up my dress I was super disappointed. I thought I had been given a whole different dress because it was so large and unrecognizable. It wasn't until the stylist offered to clip it again in several places that I started to recognize it. I've spoken with others who stated this is not the normal. The dress should be slightly larger to allow for alterations, of course, but this was so large that I was convinced I was given the wrong dress. I also thought the material was different than the original dress I tried on. I voiced all of this to the stylist, who was a bit less reassuring and confident than Gabby. I am just left wondering if the dress is ordered so much larger to allow for more expensive alterations with their preferred seamstress or if my measurements were incorrect. Maybe there is a partnership or kick back from the seamstress for being sent customers? It just seemed strange, and I'm so much less excited by the dress and...
