I have gone to this establishment several times before and have enjoyed the food, service & atmosphere, However this time will be my last.
A couple friends and I entered the establishment at around 5:30, we were sat down relatively quickly and had a fairly nice server in the beginning. We ordered our food about 10 to 15 minutes after we sat down. We waited for over an hour for our food. During the wait our server rarely came over to tell us what was happening, during this time we watched as people who sat down after us receive their food, eat & even leave before we saw our food! We were told that the food was almost ready 45 minutes before we actually received it. Our server told us that the cooks came in late & they were short staffed. Normally I would be understanding and sympathetic as I have worked jobs while being understaffed and I understand the struggle. However, watching other people get food before us was very confusing and conflicting to the information we heard. The strangest part was that the food was barely warm by the time we received it, suggesting that it had been sitting there for some time. Our server did apologize, but she barely gave us attention, once our food was delivered to us, she didn't even look us, she just plopped the food down on the table and then left.
We eventually asked for a manager to see what exactly was going on. Once the manager came over, she was very dismissive of our situation. It felt almost condescending or lack of sympathy. When we were telling her our situation, all she said was, "what do y'all want, like a discount or something" which felt very inappropriate considering the situation. We did ask for a discount as waiting for food for over an hour is unacceptable. Normally when I am greeted with bad service or long wait times, the server gives more care and attention with their apologies ---the manager will give a gift card or some sort of compensation for the poor service right away instead of asking what the costumer wants. The whole interaction with the manager felt unprofessional and dismissive of our experience with their establishment. We came before the rush and expected to get our food first, but the rush came and got their food before us. It just felt like the manager did not care about our situation or even want us to come back. I enjoy the food and atmosphere of Buffalo wild wings, but this really made it sour. The manager ultimately gave us a 15% discount on the food after we asked for something.
I know that I am only one costumer in a sea of many for Buffalo wild wings, but the lack of any understanding by the manager was very daunting. I do not think I...
Read moreI came into Buffalo Wild Wings on 9/16/18 in the evening at 7:45pm on a non-busy day. It was not a full house, in fact, it was rather empty. My waitress was by the name of "Sam".
To begin, my experience was okay; it began with beverages taking a good 9 minutes to get to the table followed by another 18 for the appetizer to arrive at the table. This was a little longer than usual, but I am rather patient. Mind you, order for drinks and appetizers were taken at the same time. It was only until appetizers arrived did Sam take our order for wings. She asked if my patrons and I wanted celery and carrots and we said, "Yes". From this moment on, everything took 40+ minutes to come out. She checked back at our table and said, "Oh, [they] still haven't brought out the celery and carrots yet? I will check on the kitchen." She sure checked on the kitchen all right; bringing out celery/carrots and wings to other tables who ordered after us. The last trip she made to us was when she served us the wings. Her excuse was that "[they] were waiting on a fresh batch of wings". So is she telling me that the kitchen was put on hold until people in charge of inventory ran to get wings? Highly doubtful. It is funny she said that considering my booth could see her coming out of the kitchen and running food to other tables, as well as chatting with her cohort who sat behind a wall chatting away. It's not like she was busy if she had time to chat with her coworkers.
Finally, my patrons and I finished our meal and it took another 35 minutes to receive the bill. The bill did not come from Sam herself, it came from the assistant manager who's role was to try to relax us; it didn't work. She obviously knew what she did wrong but made no action to try to fix it. She deserves to feel ashamed.
The service displayed by Sam tonight was absolutely tragic, as well as a disappointment to the Buffalo Wild Wings franchise. I have been to Buffalo Wild Wings in other cities and have not received service such as Sam's.
I would say this is a training issue, but I think Sam just fails to understand how customer service works. This is unfortunate since every job has a form of customer service and she failed to satisfy a small size party under low traffic times.
If she cannot take the craft seriously, then I suggest she leave the establishment and work on basic customer service before joining the...
Read moreI visit this Buffalo Wild Wings fairly frequently, but today was new. I know it was Memorial Day and I decided I’d go there for a snack, it was 10:55 pm and I wanted to know when the kitchen closes, so I call them and they tell me that the kitchen closes at 11:30pm. I get there at 11:10, I knew exactly what I wanted. Once I get there, one of your employees comes out and tells me that they can’t serve us as they are closed and I tell her that I called ahead and I was told it was open, but she said “Yeah but it’s Memorial Day so the kitchen is closing early and we can’t serve you” I requested like twice even telling here I don’t even need time with the menu but she refused to help us out, meanwhile another group walks in after us and she had no issue finding a table for them. I had never experienced this before where you are partial to one group of customers and just refuse to serve the others. We were really disappointed and we left the place and then one of your employees Ari Diaz comes out, calls us back in and requests us to eat inside. She was really sweet and respectful, and she didn’t even rush us. She really made our day, if it wasn’t for her I don’t think we would have visited again.
How can one of your employees just be rude and be partial to another group? I really don’t want to think about what made them special, I don’t know, I think we looked presentable, we each have jobs that pay well into 6 figures, we didn’t even make a scene, we genuinely just requested them.
This is the first time I’ve actually gone out to write a negative review. I really hope no one else feels the same way we do. I mean I get that it is Memorial Day and that everyone wants to go home, but why would you tell someone that you are open, have them drive there within the time that you have mentioned and then refuse service. Oh I forgot to mention that she even claimed the kitchen was closed for takeout, I honestly would have been happy if you let me take my wings home to eat if you were in the process of closing the restaurant.
Also, 5/5 for Ari Diaz, please don’t change, you are the sweetest and the only reason we’d even consider coming...
