This place was awful but it has the ability to be good bc of the location. I took my mother here to escape hurricane beryl. She has health issues so with our electricity being out it’s something that we had to get a hotel for. There was none in Houston with availability Because I'm a Wyndham point holder I decided to search that in college station, and found this days inn, I called and booked it. Thankfully it was available. I was happy to escape the heat and get ac however our stay was less than satisfactory. The cricket infestation was insane. I understand a couple of crickets but I probably killed about 20 crickets and my mom said she stepped on a few and there was more making sounds all night long, crawling every where. Secondly this place is not handicap friendly at all. They moved us from one normal room (after my mom fell) to a handicap room bc the toilets in other rooms are literally on the ground and I would have to help my elderly mom get up off the ground. My mom is only 5'3 too! We called up front and thankfully they did move us to a handicap room but I noticed later there was no handicap parking near that room. Also The ONLY difference in the room was the toilet seat height was like a normal toilet. There was no safety rails in the bathroom either! There was barely any space in that bathroom that I seriously doubt someone who's in a wheelchair could even get into it. The wifi is a bit dodgy too. Lastly the second room we were in 136 had a leak in the roof in the restroom so every time you would use the restroom you got dripped on. All in all we both were very disappointed, so disappointed that we left the night before we had to check out.

This Days Inn is run down and outdated. The property is unsanitary and potentially unsafe. We booked a room with one bed and it smelled like mildew strong. The microwave and mini fridge were next to the bathroom sink which was strange and gross. We found a big, dead bug on the bathroom ground and I woke up with bug bites. The TV was low quality and our room had very clearly not been cleaned properly. The amenities were almost nonexistent seeing as the pool was closed down. We didn't bother with breakfast, so I can't speak on that. Overall, this hotel is not worth booking. The only good thing about it is the location, it's walking distance from many stores and restaurants and very close to A&M university. Other than that, it's dingy, disgusting, and unpleasant to be at. The other Days Inn in B/CS is much cleaner and cheaper; There are a-lot of nicer hotels in the area that are the same price, maybe less.

Pros: great price, great value, clean rooms, no bugs, safety features work, good wifi, mostly quiet, plenty of parking, nothing breaks just because I touched it! Cons: mildly difficult to spot from the road, and mildly difficult to pull out of the parking lot into the road without getting hit, our non-smoking room smelled like someone had just smoked in it. Even though the room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke at first, we got the smell to dissipate by leaving the door open for 1hr. Everything else was fantastic! We even noticed that the sprinkler system was functioning, so that was very heartening as I've been in places where they don't. We also saw housekeeping cleaning pretty much constantly. If you really need a good quality hotel on a budget in College Station, I highly recommend this place!

If I could give it a negative 10 I would. I don't even know where to start. Both the rooms (Yes I said both because we had to be moved rooms after getting locked out the first one) were dirty and moldy. The first room had hairs in the bathtub and bed. A dirty towel was left in the bathroom. Outlets are old. There was a bunch of dead bugs and dust where the window is at. The floors felt like I was going to go through the flooring with every step I took. You can hear and feel the flooring coming apart. I got a bug bite in the 2nd room we got switched to. The first day there only 1 out of the two room keys worked. The next day my bf was completely locked out, neither card worked. Gave him a new card. Next day, same issue. He went to the front desk, she told him she put the wrong dates in the system and had him checking out already which is why the card was "deactivated". We left shortly after for food and when we came back realized we were completely locked out AGAIN. We were locked out almost all day. For a good almost 4-5hrs. Idk how many times they had to call for maintenance to go. He finally showed up. The front desk gal couldn't opened the door with the master key. After hours and having to find a place to use the restroom, my bf again went back and asked how much longer to be able to get into the room. They finally put us in another room. The maintenance guy was finally able to open the door so we could get our stuff. Next day 11am cleaning lady starts knocking that we needed to leave, my bf had paid extra to be able to stay an hour longer. We grabbed our stuff and left. They should have refunded us the hours we got locked out and for the inconvenience of having to go find a place to use the restroom. We had a long drive back to CA and had been through enough already. We just wanted to get tf out of there. Don't bother with this place. It's disgusting and...

The best I can say is that the staff is very friendly and the coffee is pretty good. But in this part of TX and in this price range (which is in the mid range for this category of accommodation) this was a more than a disappointment, more like a shock. It had clean sheets and towels (though of the cheapest quality) and I'm sure the room was cleaned, but it felt dirty because it is so run down, grimy and ratty. It has not been upgraded in two decades for sure: the ceilings are stained yellow, the bathrooms are old and discolored or mildewed. Paint is sloppily splashed on ceilings, fixtures, doors and baseboards; there is absolutely nothing that that gives you a feeling that the owner cares that you feel you have dignity. The pool was pond green and the tile and coping were brown and discolored all around. The sole umbrella was hanging there broken with the spokes just hanging out, It it insulting to offer that as an "amenity" and is indicative of the owner's regard for its guests. Needless to say, there was never anyone in the pool area, or the pool despite the 90+ degree weather. There is simply NO pride taken in caring for or even pretending to maintain this property except the barest minimum: to offer air conditioning and clean linens (and the cheapest quality at that). Despite this, the owner keeps the prices on par with others who have meticulously maintained and upgraded their properties and provide quality amenities where nothing feels cheap or unkept at all. I find it really disgraceful and I felt icky staying there given the extreme quality disparity and the indignity I felt staying there compared to the dignity and comfort I feel staying at other similarly priced accommodations where pride is taken in the property and in making sure the guests are completely comfortable. There is a problem uploading some photos on this page. I will...

I recently stayed at the Days Inn in College Station. It was a last-minute situation, and this was the only place that still had a room available. I called ahead and gave my credit card number to hold the room. The person on the phone confirmed it, but by the time I arrived—which was less than five minutes later—they told me they had already rented the room out.

They offered me a different room, but it was a smoking room. I don’t smoke, but it was late, and I needed a place to stay. Once inside, I immediately noticed several issues. Even when the door was shut, you could still see outside through the cracks. I turned on the air conditioner to try to clear out the smoke smell, but it didn’t work well. The floors were dirty, and when I went to take a bath, the towels hanging up were visibly dirty as well, so I didn’t feel comfortable using them.

The microwave in the room was also in terrible condition—the metal inside was peeling, making it unsafe to use. I tried to call the front desk, only to realize there was no phone in the room. Since it was late and I didn’t feel safe walking around outside in the dark, I wasn’t able to get clean towels or address any of the issues.

Overall, my experience was very disappointing. I really expected a cleaner, safer environment.

At checkout, I did talk to the front desk and as he was checking me out, I asked him I said are you even listening to me and he says yes I’m making a mental note. Didn’t write anything down. No discount was given. I went to their complementary breakfast and grabbed me a banana and I left.

Overall, my experience was very disappointing. I really hope that management addresses these issues, because no guest should have to deal with unsafe and unsanitary conditions. I would not recommend this location until...
