My daughter went into this store a few weeks ago And they told her they didn’t stock her car battery. I went online and used the tool to find the battery for her car. I purchased the recommended battery and went to the store to pick it up. The assistant manager said, “you bought a battery online?” We can’t warranty it. You should have come in the store. I explained that my daughter did. He said, well who was here? Of course I had no idea who my daughter talked to. I showed him my confirmation email from AutoZone and he scanned it and said it was invalid and he didn’t know where I got it from. It was clearly from autozone. I said, why don’t you give me a refund. He went on to argue with me that they don’t carry my battery and just because it says it’s in online doesn’t mean they carry it. Another associate came up and tried to help us. She found my order and said that they pulled the wrong battery. I explained that at this point I only wanted a refund. This shouldn’t be this complicated. She finally scanned the receipt and gave me my refund. She then followed us outside and apologized for the assistant manager’s behavior. Read moreMy check engine light was on and so I dropped by earlier this week to get my system scanned. In my previous visits to other Autozones in the Memphis area, I have basically been ignored by the male staff and got the impression that they hate to work with women so they will wait on anybody before waiting on me. So,when I saw a women working there, I was relieved and thought she would be more sympathetic to a women that is not car knowledgeable like me. Oh, I wish. Literally ( and I mean literally) she did not say a word to me. When I told her about my check engine light and ask for a scan, she found the scanner, scanned my car, went to the computer which printed out the error conditions and handed them to me without saying one word. After handing me the error print out, she went over to help a customer never asking me if I had any questions or concerns or to help me understand what the print outs indicate. Whoever hired the sales manager Melvin should be patting himself or herself on the back. He listened when I told him what a POS this vehicle is, as we are constantly replacing the battery due to an electrical issue that mechanics just take our money for and say they can’t find. So had to buy yet another battery. Told him I wanted cheapest available since it’s a waste of money to buy the premium. He gave me the mid range battery for the lower price and promised it would make a difference. I hope so but even if it doesn’t, they will replace battery if it dies again in two years. Well, it will, but we won’t have to pay for the next one and that’s fine with me. Melvin is a lovely man and he changed the battery himself and in record time.
