Dillard's — Attraction in Colorado Springs

Worst shopping experience I've had in a very long time. Went in and was looking through jackets/coats when I heard a loud commotion with a family asking for a manager because of an altercation with a security guard (all I actually heard was that he was rude). The Dillard's staff took them to see a manager and this exact same security guard proceeded to follow me around the store for the next 15 minutes as I looked through clothing... At first I thought I was maybe being overly sensitive, but as I browsed throughout the store he would follow me to each area and stare at me. After quite a bit of this uncomfortable stalking I decided to leave, as his behavior was not very conducive to my being able to comfortably shop. He followed me down the escalator, additionally until I left the store. Also-- to put into perspective this bizarre behavior, I had 3 shopping bags from other stores and was obviously actively shopping. Not only had I already spent about $500 but I was trying to purchase a coat that I ended up buying at a different store due to this security guards aggressive behavior. I usually go shopping here for my family's needs. Great prices.. plenty of options and you can always find exactly what you want/need...now you may not always find someone that will just walk up out of nowhere to ask you if you need help, but once you do find an employee ..they will take good care to offer their best service and will apologize for not being where you needed them. Also, you will find what you need on your own. Everything is so beautifully color codded.. organized and sized. Plenty of options to choose from and I completely love the prices of the items that I pick out. The quality of the clothing is great. Lots of name brands. You just need to know your limits and shop wisely. You work hard for your paycheck. You definitely deserve the very best for yourselves. Make your money make sense. The store associates don't really help you find a clothing item if you are an Asian person. They would rather point at a specific place and ask you to find your pair of pants that suit your needs.

In the past, before Covid19 hit, everyone was friendly and wanted to help you find your favorite pair. They picked out some pants and gave you suggestions on how to dress properly if you are going to a special event or what to wear during a casual hangout with friends and family outings.

I don't see much of this friendliness anymore. Another representative told me that all he does is stare at people, especially the cute ladies with short shorts and a hot tank top, while earning an easy paycheck biweekly. That's wrong; really wrong.

You're stealing money when you give 100% to work your job, and you're worried about not getting paid in time.
