I’ll tell ya. Road Traveling from Texas to Colorado was an incredible journey. Flawless I could almost say. First time in this area and the sightseeing and attractions were so well worth the trip. Then. I found ESA in a pinch. The gentleman on duty late today was so very gracious to get my wife and I into a room last minute, as we had actually planned to stay in another part of the city. It’s these sorts of gestures and genuine accommodating mixed with just a tad of personableness that makes a trip all the more special. This gentleman was as though an old friend, in his very user-friendly ways while booking our stay. Priceless. My wife and I won’t soon forget this incredible stay. Nor the beautiful room and amenities. When back in town we certainly will stop in Thank you!

First time in Colorado Springs from Cleveland Ohio. A frequent ESA user but Alicia is one of the best staff members I have ever encountered! Her knowledge of much need information is amazing. Such a great help. Already feel welcomed in Colorado…. After being here 2 months. Management has made sure to resolve dog poop being picked up…but so far the only negative has been Oscar. He is not customer friendly. Still here, loving my stay because it is very convenient for the work I do. The coffee is always amazing, and if Alicia is working she always brightens your day. Update: Still here still nice. My sink exploded and Alicia got Doug on it ASAP. Amazing team plus the new sink is so nice

Authentic and gracious staff. Cynthia handles the Suites beautifully. Oscar is tireless, Alex is spectacular, Destiny is compassionate, Candyce always brings a smile. The staff are always looking to improve service, and the hallways, lobby, and rooms are immaculate. Animal friendly. There is art and photography at every turn. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Complementary breakfast, as well as complementary kitchen equipment (silverware, plates, bowls, pots, coffeemaker, toaster, etc.) Stovetop and full fridge are definitely a plus. If you have to stay away from home, why not here? After all, their motto is "stay awhile"... Definitely recommend!

I would be amiss to not make mention the few employees that have made my stay very comfortable. The Chestnut St. location I used a month ago before travel was a horrific experience. I came here skeptical and w/ bias. I was pleasantly surprised from my earliest interactions w/ Mr. Nephtali the manager! He was so personable, genuinely concerned about my stay and down to earth. Ms. Okie runs circles around everyone. That woman never stops unless she has to work the desk. She listens empathetically and runs circles around this place. She goes out of her way some days for things that I don't feel most would; racing to grab a coffee before the pot was poured out when I started late, brought me keys after I extended stay knowing mine wouldn't work, sharing an unrelated resource for a problem I had. I honestly think she's the fire in the engine that runs this place! Add to this, Doug, the maintenance guy. I had an issue w/ one of the burners in my room, the last one they had available when I booked. In the process of hunting down a new part, Doug even changed a knob so it would match!! It's a small detail that this OCD gal very much appreciated. I never even mentioned a word about it. I had an issue w/the fridge also and worried it wasn't cold enough. He promptly got me another and also assisted to move the food w/ my permission.Oddly, when I was at the Chestnut location, I had a door with a huge gap that made my room unsecured. Their maintenance was off that day and he came over. I recognized him as the guy who had to repair something at the other place, that was almost impossible with the severely warped wood door. I feel like I'm in the presence of Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future when he's running crazy lol but he's another employee that truly cares and treats you as a human and not just another rotating guest. I was worried about riff raff in the area w/ the higher homeless population/drugs as of late. I literally had a stalker at the last location who had a drinking problem. Yet I have had no worries here. I have gone to my car alone in the wee hours comfortably. Though always alert, I have encountered nothing worrisome. The only three recommendations I would make is 1.adding motion light on the side/rear NW entrance for evenings. It would be helpful as it's very dark or maybe repairing one if it's already there? 2. Get a new IT dept (the 4 rating for the room). The internet was upgraded and still goes out. And at BOTH locations, I can't even get one bar on my Verizon phone. I have spoken to others here w/ newer phones and it's the same. It's almost like they are scrambling it to force you to use their wifi for calling, so if you have to make a lot of calls or if you're house/job hunting, it's going to be harder. A block away my phone works. I find the morning to be better for some reason. I finally brought in my computer which has allowed me to do what I need. So if you're coming plan to bring a laptop and upgrade the wifi. 3.Laundry machine upgrades and one comfortable chair rather than a hard, too low for the table one would be nice. The washers all work very well but only one of them locks. It is so helpful to at least have that 20-30m to be able to get other things done and come back. The elements on most of the dryers has some stuff on it that leaves me to only consider two units I would use of the six. I do see others using all but I worry the lighter clothes would be ruined. I hope the employees read this and know how very much they are appreciated. I have PTSD. I don't sleep well in strange places but have slept like a baby here cause I know they got my six and care sincerely. There are those that care to do the bare minimum to get through their shift also, but I know in my gut they too would jump to help if something went down. My security, safety, cleanliness and function is most important to me along w/ being treated seriously and w/ respect when I have an issue. If that matters to you, I recommend this location for...

Wonderfully responsive staff @ the COSprings Corporate Drive location!

While getting settled in the region, I stayed at that location for two months. While there, I had a couple of concerns. My experiences with the administrative and maintenance staff was wonderful! These people are so kind! They listen intently, ask questions, investigate where necessary, and solve the problem RIGHT THEN!

After about four weeks into my stay, I began to smell something strange, and hear a lot of noise waking me up. I thought it was from two different possible sources. I didn’t say anything right away; I figured that it was just a tainted breeze and that the resident would move out soon. One doesn’t complain over everything all the time. You wait to see if the problem solves itself. It didn’t, so I spoke to the Assistant Mgr, Ms. O. She listened to me describe when I was experiencing the noises and asked Qs RE the odor’s location. She and I spoke at length and I asked her to come to my unit to investigate when she had time. She stopped what she was doing RIGHT THEN following me to my home. She solved that problem and then left to solve the sound issue. Later, she saw me in the hallway outside the laundry room (very clean!) and reported the outcome which was totally satisfactory to me. Ms. O. is wonderfully calm, understanding, and take-charge administrator!

The housekeeping staff are very thorough! I forgot it was my day to get new linens and have the room cleaned. I had just been swapping linens and cleaning the place myself. (I live here; I clean.) I was going to do laundry later that night anyway, so I had everything already sorted. When I was leaving, I saw a young man come down the hallway with the cleaning cart. It didn’t register that it was my scheduled day. When I returned much later in the day, he (Mr. N.) had swapped all the linens (including the shower curtain), cleaned the floors, bathroom and kitchen. I saw a gleaming floor and new towels piled on my bathroom shelf and the bed linens sitting on top of my made up bed. I hadn’t pulled the old sheets off because I had papers spread out there. He left me the new linens sitting tidily atop the bed. He is very respectful of your personal space (all of the staff is). My floor was as clean as I would have it in my own home. Traveling as I was, I didn’t have all the mops, buckets, etc. to do a good job. What a very nice young man; eager and pleasant!

When I picked up packages or needed to make a change to the linen schedule the front desk, Ms. D. and Mr. O. were always extremely attentive. During the day, night, or weekends, the levels of experience, caring, and attention to one’s needs doesn’t change in this place!

The last week I was there, the full-sized refrigerator in my home died. When I reported the problem to the front desk, I saw the Maintenance Chief, Mr. D. so I mentioned to him that I was going to ask for his help. I completed my business with the front desk staff and returned to the room. Down the hallway comes Mr. D, saying that he was bringing a new refrigerator. He was just leaving my home having checked which way the unit’s door opened. I said, ā€œWhen do you think you’ll have time to make the switch? I’ll remove all the food.ā€ He had stopped in front of another room. He turned to me to reply as he unlocked that door: ā€œI’m bringing you one right now. If you could remove the food, that would be fine. Or we can do it for you if you like.ā€ I was surprised. I knew anyone would realize that a non-cooling refrigerator means spoiled food, but I thought he/the location might act sometime during the day. I had planned to stay home the remainder of the day to receive the new unit. He and another young man (Mr. J) brought me the new appliance before I had time to empty my old one. It was clean and ready to use. He’s a very nice, cheerful fellow! Know’s his stuff!

These employees are very serious about solving problems and making residents feel that their needs are...

I am overall dissatisfied with this Extended Stay. For my work I travel extensively and I have stayed at various Extended Stay locations, one of which was a training hotel.

First of all, this is not a very clean Extended Stay. When you walk into the lobby there are often wet towels on the floor instead of all-weather rugs. The front desk is often cluttered. There appears to be a lack of good organization.

On the day my room was supposed to be cleaned two weeks ago, the cleaning lady opened my door WITHOUT KNOCKING or announcing herself. I said, ā€œaren’t you supposed to knock?ā€ She apologized and said it was the wrong room and said she was supposed to do another room that was checked out and that was her reasoning. She also said I was not on the list, even though that was the day my room was supposed to be cleaned. Needless to say, no one showed up for the rest of the week and the room went without cleaning for two weeks.

The coffee/breakfast service is supposed to be until 9am, but I have often gone down @ 8:30 on the way out, and the coffee is empty, and other items normally available are gone.

Often, particularly at night (not late) the front desk person is not available and they have to be called to the desk and there is often a wait amongst two or more guests as a result.

I rarely write reviews. I rarely complain. I understand limited resources/people, I understand mistakes. But in addition to these little things, the straw that has broken the camel’s back, is that after 30 days, Extended Stay is supposed to return the taxes you have paid and stop charging you for taxes after 30 days. I extended my stay from 30-60 days. Because I have stayed at Extended Stays at various times for assignments that last 30-90 days (sometimes more), Extended Stay has always credited my room and applied it to my next payment. I budgeted for this. I was not informed of it being any other way. The manager claims they return the taxes (which are not theirs to keep) after check out. I paid for all but the last night of the 7 days, because of my budget, and they deactivate my room key EVERY DAY. It has been snowing, and even though my room for the next few nights have been paid, and they are wrongfully holding over $100 in taxes (claiming they are holding as deposit even though NO ONE informed me of said deposit), having my key deactivated and not having access to my room is unacceptable.

Needless to say I have contacted guest services and a claim has been placed.

I have colleagues that will be coming and I have already told them about my experience here. I have recommended that they stay at the InnTown Suites down the road or at Wood Spring.

It’s Winter here so I’m here until December and it would be inconvenient for me to switch at this point (to put it mildly), but in my future assignments I will not choose this Extended Stay location. Having stayed at training Extended Stays, I know what the contrast is, and I’m beyond disgusted. Especially the daily room key deactivation ploy and not being inforned of retaining money I paid for TAXES as ā€œdeposit,ā€ at the time I extended my reservation, or even at the time of paying on my room until I inquired. Not acceptable. Beyond disgusted.

That being said, a couple of the young women who work at the front desk have been very warm and friendly and very customer service-oriented. Management? ...
