hatch & gather — Attraction in Colorado Springs

This is such a cute store and a hidden gem. I was driving back to Denver from Florence and remembered that I needed some layer feed for my chickens. I thought certainly there's a feed store on the way home assuming that they would be the larger stores. Luckily, Waze found a few and this was 0 min off my route - PERFECT!

Even with directions, I almost missed it, but was able to get a spot right in front. This store has feed to the left and all these cute bee, chicken, housewares, homesteading stuff to the right. After getting my layer feed with the help of the really sweet employee helping me find my way through all the feed, I shopped in the store looking at all the cool items I want and may "NEED." I determined that I needed 2 dish towels with cute sayings. My total for a bumper sticker, 2 dish towels, and a 50 lb bag of layer feed came to be around $52. That's really competitive to other feed stores in Denver!

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products that they feature. I spent a hour or so combing over all the awesome HoneyBee keeping equipment. But the list of things that I was interested in grew: Bee Keeping

When our chickens were attacked by a wild animal, we called Buckley’s to get advice on how to move forward in treating their wounds (they had mentioned during a prior visit that they were chicken owners, too).
